안녕하세요?

이번 K-POP 댄스 수업에서는 ENHYPEN의 ‘Bloody Paradise’ 안무를 배웠어요.

먼저 가벼운 스트레칭으로 몸을 풀고, 동작 하나하나를 천천히 따라 하고 연습했습니다.

그 다음에 음악에 맞춰서 춤을 춰 보았습니다. 처음에는 빠른 동작과 낯선 안무가 조금 어려웠지만, 음악에 맞춰 하나씩 연습하다 보니 움직임도 점점 자연스러워졌습니다. 처음에는 어색해 했지만 어느새 리듬을 타며 자신 있게 춤을 추기 시작했습니다.

서로 웃고 응원하며 함께 안무를 완성해 가는 과정이 무척 즐거웠습니다.

이번 댄스 수업은 K-POP을 직접 경험하고, 새로운 도전에 대한 즐거움도 느낄 수 있었던 특별한 시간이었습니다.

In this K-POP dance class, our students learned the choreography to ENHYPEN’s “Bloody Paradise”!

We started with some light stretching to warm up, then practiced each dance move slowly, step by step. After that, we tried dancing along to the music.

At first, the fast moves and unfamiliar choreography were a little challenging. But as the students kept practicing, their movements gradually became smoother and more natural. Those who seemed a little shy and unsure at first soon started moving to the beat and dancing with confidence!

It was wonderful to see everyone laughing, cheering each other on, and working together to learn the choreography.

This dance class was a fun and memorable experience where students could enjoy K-POP firsthand and discover the excitement of trying something new!

오늘 밋업을 했어요. 밋업은 한국어를 배우는 학생들과 영어를 배우는 한국 학생들이 함께 모여서 이야기도 나누고 친구도 사귈 수 있는 좋은 자리예요.

한국어 및 영어를 배우는 데 좋은 팁, 각국의 문화 이야기, 좋은 여행지 등을 나누면서 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다. SNS도 교환하면서 함께 소통할 수 있는 창구도 마련했습니다.

밋업은 매달 두 번째 수요일에 있으니까 서로 정보도 나누고 새 친구도 만들고 싶으면 밋업에 참여하세요! 🙂

We had a meetup today! Our meetups are a great opportunity for students learning Korean and Korean students learning English to get together, chat, and make new friends.

We had a wonderful time sharing useful tips for learning Korean and English, talking about our cultures, and recommending great travel destinations. We also exchanged social media accounts so we can stay in touch and keep connecting after the meetup.

Our meetup takes place on the second Wednesday of every month, so if you’d like to share information, exchange experiences, and make new friends, come join us! 🙂

안녕하세요. 10월 9일 ‘한글날’을 기념하여 손글씨 쓰기 대회가 열렸습니다.

‘한글날’은 세종대왕이 한글을 반포한 날을 기념하는 날로, 올해로 100주년을 맞이하여 대회가 더욱 의미가 있었습니다.

대회는 한글이 담긴 노래 가사, 시, 책 글귀 등을 제공된 종이에 작성한 후 제출하는 순서로 진행됐습니다.

좋아하는 가수의 노래 가사나 책 속의 내용을 준비해 오거나 자국의 시를 한국어로 번역하여 작성한 학생도 있었답니다.

한 글자 한 글자 신중하고 정성을 들여 작성하는 학생들의 모습이 정말 열정적이었어요.

완성된 작품들을 감상해 볼까요? 정말 멋있고 아름답지 않나요? 글자 하나하나 학생들의 정성이 느껴집니다.

열심히 참여해준 학생들에게 박수를 보내며 이번 한글날 손글씨 쓰기 대회를 마무리했습니다.

Hello everyone! On October 9th, we held a Korean Calligraphy (Handwriting) Contest to celebrate ‘Hangul Day’!

‘Hangul Day’ commemorates the day King Sejong proclaimed the Korean alphabet, Hangul. This year’s contest was especially meaningful as it marked a special milestone.

For the contest, students wrote out their favorite lyrics, poems, or book quotes on provided paper and submitted their finished pieces. Some students came prepared with songs from their favorite artists or passages from books, while others even translated poems from their home countries into Korean!

It was wonderful to see how passionately each student focused, writing carefully letter by letter with so much love and effort.

Shall we take a look at their completed artwork? Aren’t they absolutely stunning? You can truly feel the effort and dedication behind every single Korean character.

A huge round of applause to all the students who participated so hard! That’s a wrap for this year’s Hangul Day Calligraphy Contest.

안녕하세요! 이번 달 스튜던트 나잇은 ‘한국’하면 떠오르는 음식 ‘치맥’과 함께 진행되었습니다.

스튜던트 나잇(Student Night)은 다양한 나라의 학생들이 모여 음식과 술을 먹으며 자유롭게 대화하며 서로의 문화와 언어를 교환할 수 있는 즐거운 활동입니다.

이번 스튜던트 나잇에도 많은 학생들이 참여하여 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

음식을 기다리면서 아주 신중하게 한국과 관련한 스티커를 고르는 학생들의 모습이 재미있었어요.

기다리던 음식이 나오고 다같이 한국의 건배사 ‘짠~’을 외치며 건배한 후에, 각 나라의 건배사도 공유하면서 본격적으로 스튜던트 나잇을 시작했답니다.

This month’s Student Night was centered around one of the most iconic Korean food pairings: Chimaek (Chicken & Beer)!

Student Night is a fun, social event where students from all over the world come together to share food and drinks, chat freely, and exchange their languages and cultures.

We had a great turnout again this time, and everyone had a wonderful time together!

While waiting for the food to arrive, it was so cute and fun to see students very carefully picking out Korean-themed stickers.

Once the food arrived, we kicked off the night with a big group cheer, shouting the traditional Korean toast, “Jjan!” (Cheers!). After that, students shared toasts from their own countries, and the party officially began!

오늘 노리개를 만들었어요. 노리개는 전통 한복에 다는 아름다운 장식이에요. 노리개는 디자인과 개수에 따라 급이 정해졌는데, 비교적 단순한 노리개를 하나만 달면 평범한 것, 복잡하고 귀한 것들로 장식한 노리개를 여러 개 달면 그만큼 귀한 신분임을 나타낼 수 있었어요.

오늘 우리가 만든 노리개의 디자인은 일월오봉도(日月五峰圖)예요. 일월오봉도는 한자 뜻 그대로 해와 달, 다섯 개의 산봉우리가 담긴 그림이에요. 일월오봉도는 옛날에 왕의 뒤에 배경으로 놓던 그림인데, 행복과 안녕을 기원하는 의미를 갖고 있어요.

오늘 우리는 비즈 공예 노리개로 일월오봉도 그림을 넣었어요. 비록 우리가 쓴 키트의 것은 산봉우리가 세 개여서 사실상 일월삼봉도였지만 어쨌건 행운의 아이템을 각자 만들었어요.

완성한 일월오봉도 노리개가 참 예쁘죠?

모두 같이 모여서 찍어도 봤어요.

이 장신구를 여러분의 가방에 키링처럼 달아도 아주 예쁘겠죠? 일월오봉도의 상징처럼 여러분에게도 행운과 평화가 가득 깃들 거예요. 한국어도 배우고 한국 문화도 배우고 참 뜻깊은 시간이었답니다.

Today, we made norigae, beautiful traditional ornaments that are worn with Korean hanbok.

In the past, the social status of a person could be reflected in the design and number of norigae they wore. Wearing a single, relatively simple norigae was considered more ordinary, while wearing several elaborate norigae decorated with precious materials could indicate a higher social status.

The design of the norigae we made today was inspired by Irworobongdo (일월오봉도, 日月五峰圖). As its Chinese characters literally mean, Irworobongdo is a traditional Korean painting featuring the sun, the moon, and five mountain peaks. It was traditionally placed behind the king’s throne and symbolized wishes for happiness, peace, and well-being.

Today, we incorporated the Irworobongdo design into our norigae using a bead-craft kit. Although our kit actually had three mountain peaks instead of five—so technically, it was more like an Irworsambongdo—we each made our own little good-luck charm!

Aren’t our finished Irworobongdo norigae beautiful?

We also gathered together to take a group photo with our creations.

Wouldn’t this ornament look lovely hanging from your bag like a keychain? Just like the symbolism of Irworobongdo, may your days be filled with good luck and peace.

It was such a meaningful time—not only learning Korean, but also discovering and experiencing Korean culture together!

오늘은 해동용궁사에 다녀왔습니다.

해동용궁사에 도착한 후 가장 먼저 눈길을 끈 것은 12지신을 나타내는 석상이었습니다. 각자 자신이 태어난 해의 띠를 찾아보며 “저는 무슨 띠예요?”, “제 띠는 여기 있어요!”라고 이야기해 보았습니다. 서로의 띠를 비교해 보는 것도 재미있는 시간이었습니다.

12지신 석상을 지나 본격적으로 해동용궁사를 둘러보았습니다. 절 곳곳을 구경하며 한국의 사찰 문화를 자연스럽게 접해 보고, 아름다운 바다 풍경도 함께 감상했습니다. 특히 해동용궁사는 바다 바로 옆에 자리하고 있어 사찰과 푸른 바다가 어우러진 독특한 풍경을 볼 수 있습니다. 학생들도 풍경을 바라보며 모두 “너무 예쁘다!”고 감탄했습니다.

예쁜 장소에서 사진을 찍는 시간도 빼놓을 수 없었습니다. 소원이 적힌 알록달록한 미니 램프와 나뭇잎 장식 아래에서 함께 사진을 찍으며 즐거운 추억을 남겼습니다. 그리고 행운의 동전 던지기 체험도 재미로 해 보았습니다.

이번 해동용궁사 방문은 아름다운 사찰과 바다를 구경하는 것뿐만 아니라, 자신의 띠를 이야기하고 한국의 문화를 직접 경험해 볼 수 있었던 즐거운 시간이었습니다.

Today, we visited Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.

When we arrived at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, the first thing that caught our attention was the statues representing the 12 zodiac animals. We looked for our own zodiac animals based on our birth years and talked about them, saying things like, “What’s my zodiac animal?” and “Here’s mine!” It was also fun to compare our zodiac animals with one another.

After passing the 12 zodiac statues, we began exploring Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. As we walked around the temple, we had a chance to experience Korean Buddhist temple culture and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is especially unique because it is located right by the sea, creating a stunning view where the temple and the blue ocean come together. Everyone admired the scenery and said, “It’s so beautiful!”

Of course, we couldn’t miss the chance to take some photos in such a beautiful place. We took pictures together under the colorful mini lanterns with wishes written on them and the leaf decorations, making wonderful memories. We also had some fun trying the lucky coin toss.

Our visit to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple was not only a chance to enjoy the beautiful temple and ocean views, but also a fun opportunity to talk about our zodiac animals and experience Korean culture firsthand.

안녕하세요. 오늘은 Riize의 Do your dance 안무를 배웠습니다.

신나고 빠른 힙합 리듬에 맞춰 추는 안무이기 때문에 평소보다 더 꼼꼼히 몸을 풀어줬어요.

안무의 난이도가 높아 처음에는 학생들이 힘들어 했지만 금방 익숙해져서 멋있게 춤을 췄어요.

각자의 멋을 내며 춤 추는 모습이 정말 멋있었어요.

마지막으로 선생님과 함께 촬영하며 이번 K-pop 수업을 마무리했습니다~!

Hello everyone! Today, we learned the choreography for RIIZE’s “Get A Guitar” / “Talk Saxy” / “Boom Boom Bass” — “Do Your Dance”!

Since it’s a high-energy dance set to a fast hip-hop rhythm, we spent extra time warming up properly before jumping into the routine.

To wrap up today’s K-pop class, we took a fun group photo with our teacher~!

오늘 밋업이 있었어요. 한국인과 외국인이 함께 모여서 오순도순 이야기 나누고 함께 문화와 언어를 교환하는 자리였어요.

스티커 타투로 마음에 드는 스티커를 붙이기도 했어요.

외국인 친구들은 한국어로, 한국인 친구들은 영어로 이야기하면서 각자 배우는 언어를 연습할 기회가 될 수 있었어요. 특히 서로의 문화에 대해 궁금한 것을 질문하고 여행하면서 느낀 신선한 충격을 공유하면서 깊이 있는 이해의 장이 되었답니다.

이번에 밋업을 처음 시작하는 사람이 많았지만 모두 즐겁게 얘기를 나눴어요. 한국과 다른 나라의 문화에 대해 함께 이야기하면서 서로의 이해를 넓힐 수 있는 소중한 자리였어요.

It was a wonderful opportunity for Korean and international friends to come together, chat, and share their languages and cultures in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We also had fun decorating ourselves with our favorite sticker tattoos!

The international students had a chance to practice Korean, while the Korean participants practiced English. It was a great opportunity for everyone to use the language they are learning in a relaxed, natural setting.

What made the meetup especially meaningful was the chance to ask questions about each other’s cultures and share the surprising and memorable experiences we had while traveling. Through these conversations, we were able to gain a deeper understanding of different cultures and perspectives.

Many of the participants were attending a meetup like this for the first time, but everyone quickly opened up and enjoyed chatting with one another. It was a truly special time to broaden our understanding of Korean and other cultures while connecting with new people.

안녕하세요! 오늘은 깡깡이 예술마을에 다녀왔습니다. 깡깡이 예술마을은 오래전부터 배를 만들고 수리해 온 마을의 역사와 예술이 어우러진 특별한 곳입니다.

먼저 선박 체험 공간을 방문해 실제 배를 개조해 만든 독특한 공간들을 구경했습니다. 학생들은 평소에 가까이에서 보기 어려운 배의 내부와 구조를 살펴보며 신기해했습니다. 또한 직접 망치를 들고 철판을 두드려 보면서 ‘깡깡이’라는 마을 이름이 어떻게 생겼는지도 몸소 경험해 보았습니다. 망치로 철판을 두드릴 때마다 ‘깡깡’ 소리가 크게 울려 퍼져 모두에게 재미있고 특별한 경험이 되었습니다.체험을 마친 후에는 아름다운 바다 풍경을 감상하고, 마을 골목을 천천히 걸으며 예술 작품들도 감상했습니다. 드라마 <무빙>의 촬영지로 알려진 양다방에도 방문했습니다. 드라마 속에 등장한 장소를 직접 보니 더욱 반갑고 신기했습니다. 옛날 분위기가 그대로 남아 있는 공간을 둘러보며 사진도 찍고 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

그다음에는 깡깡이 생활문화센터에 있는 마을 박물관을 관람했습니다. 박물관에서는 깡깡이 예술마을의 역사와 이곳에서 살아온 주민들의 이야기, 선박을 만들고 수리했던 여러 물건들을 볼 수 있었습니다.마지막으로 ‘우리 모두의 어머니’ 벽화 앞에서 다 함께 기념사진을 찍었습니다. 커다란 벽화를 배경으로 사진을 남기며 이날의 문화 체험을 즐겁게 마무리했습니다.

Hello! Today, we visited Kangkangee Arts Village. It is a unique place where art blends with the history of a village that has long been known for building and repairing ships.

We first visited a ship experience area and explored several fascinating spaces created by renovating a real ship. The students were excited to see the inside and structure of a ship up close, something they do not normally have the chance to experience.

They also picked up hammers and struck iron plates themselves, learning firsthand how Kangkangee Arts Village got its name. Each time they hit the iron plates, a loud “kkang-kkang” sound echoed through the area. It was a fun and memorable experience for everyone.

After the activity, we enjoyed the beautiful seaside scenery and took a leisurely walk through the village’s narrow alleys, admiring various works of art along the way.

We also visited Yangdabang, a traditional-style café known as one of the filming locations for the Korean drama Moving. It was exciting to see a place that appeared in the series in person. We explored the café, which still retains its charming old-fashioned atmosphere, took photos, and enjoyed spending time together.

Next, we visited the village museum inside the Kangkangee Culture and Community Center. At the museum, we learned about the history of Kangkangee Arts Village, heard stories about the residents who have lived there, and saw various tools and objects once used to build and repair ships.

Finally, we took a group photo in front of the large mural titled “The Mother of Us All.” Taking a photo together in front of the impressive mural was the perfect way to end our enjoyable cultural experience at Kangkangee Arts Village.

오늘 밋업을 했어요. 한국인 학생들과 외국인 학생들이 모두 모여 맛있는 음식도 먹고 서로 이야기하고 친구가 될 수 있는 아주 좋은 자리예요.

이번 달 밋업은 치맥! 맛있는 치킨과 맥주, 다양한 사이드디시를 시켜서 맛있게 먹었어요.

물로 쉽게 붙일 수 있는 스티커형 타투로 한껏 멋도 내 봤어요.

하필 오늘 비가 많이 와서 식당 앞에서 단체 사진을 찍지는 못했지만 깔끔한 실내에서 함께 담소를 나누며 즐거운 시간을 보내서 아주 좋았습니다. 음식 앞에서는 국적을 초월해서 모두가 친구가 될 수 있는 법이죠.

This month’s meetup was all about chimaek—Korean fried chicken and beer! We ordered plenty of delicious chicken, beer, and a variety of side dishes and enjoyed them together.

We also had some fun dressing up our looks with temporary tattoo stickers that you can easily apply with water.

Unfortunately, it rained heavily today, so we couldn’t take a group photo in front of the restaurant. Still, we had a wonderful time chatting and hanging out together in the restaurant’s nice, cozy interior. After all, good food has a way of bringing everyone together, no matter where we come from!
