안녕하세요! 오늘은 한국의 전통 탈을 만들었어요.
한국에서는 ‘탈’을 쓰면 힘이 생긴다고 믿었고, 나쁜 기운을 쫓아내 좋은 기운을 불러온다고 했습니다.
다양한 탈의 종류가 있고 이 탈들은 신분을 나타냈어요. 그리고 탈을 쓰고 높은 신분을 가진 사람들을 풍자하기도 했답니다.
이제 나만의 탈을 만들어 볼까요? 한국의 전통 종이 ‘한지’를 사용해서 탈을 만들어 봤어요.
한지를 손으로 작게 찢고 물풀을 사용해서 탈에 붙여요. 그리고 색연필과 사인펜으로 더 꾸미면 완성이에요!
나만의 개성 넘치는 탈을 완성하고 다 같이 한국의 전통 탈춤을 영상으로 봤어요!
영상을 본 후에 내가 만든 전통 탈을 쓰고 전통 탈춤을 춰 봤어요. 정말 재미있었어요!

Hello! Today, we made traditional Korean masks.
In Korea, people believed that wearing a mask could give us power and drive away bad energy while bringing in good energy. There are many different types of masks, and they often represented social status. People also used masks to satirize those in higher positions.
Now, shall we try making our own mask?
We used traditional Korean paper called hanji to make the masks. First, we tore the hanji into small pieces by hand and attached them to the mask using glue. Then, we decorated them with colored pencils and markers to complete our unique masks.
After finishing our masks, we watched a video of traditional Korean mask dance together. Then, we wore the masks we made and tried dancing the traditional mask dance ourselves.
It was really fun!
