지난 월요일에는 강남 투어를 진행했습니다!

이번에도 강남 곳곳을 함께 둘러보며 쇼핑도 하고 사진도 찍으며 즐거운 시간을 보냈는데요.
그럼 이번에는 어떤 곳들을 방문했는지 함께 살펴볼까요? 😆

먼저 강남역 5번 출구를 지나 7번 출구 근처에 있는 알라딘 중고서점에 방문했습니다.

서점에는 다양한 책은 물론, 비교적 저렴한 가격의 K-pop 앨범도 많이 있었어요.
책과 앨범을 구경하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 🎵

멋진 책도 발견했어요! 🤩📚

다음으로 강남 먹자골목을 걸어보았습니다.

골목을 걷다 보면 아트박스, 설빙을 비롯해 다양한 식당과 가게들을 만날 수 있는데요.
강남의 활기찬 분위기를 느끼며 천천히 주변을 둘러보았습니다. 🍧🍴

그리고 아트박스에도 들러 구경해 보았습니다!

아트박스에는 캐릭터 굿즈부터 충전기, 헤드폰, 보드게임까지 정말 다양한 물건들이 있었어요.
귀엽고 재미있는 상품들이 많아서 물건을 사지 않아도 구경하는 재미가 가득했습니다. 🥰

그리고 투어의 마지막은 역시 강남스타일 포토존! 📸

다 함께 모여 단체 사진을 찍으며 이번 강남 투어의 즐거운 순간을 사진으로 남겼습니다.

이렇게 또 하나의 멋진 추억 완성! 😆💕

Last Monday, we had another Gangnam Tour!

We walked around Gangnam, enjoyed shopping, and took lots of photos together.
Let’s take a look at the places we visited! 😆

First, we passed Exit 5 of Gangnam Station and visited Aladin Used Bookstore near Exit 7.

The bookstore had many different books and also many K-pop albums at affordable prices.
We had a great time looking around at the books and albums. 🎵

We even found a cool book! 🤩📚

Next, we walked through Gangnam Food Street.

There are many restaurants and shops in this area, including Artbox and Sulbing.
We slowly walked around and enjoyed the lively atmosphere of Gangnam. 🍧🍴

We also stopped by Artbox!

Artbox has many different kinds of items, such as character goods, chargers, headphones, and board games.
There were so many cute and interesting things to see, so it was fun even without buying anything! 🥰

Finally, we visited the Gangnam Style Photo Zone! 📸

We took a group photo together and captured another special memory from our Gangnam Tour.

Another wonderful memory completed! 😆💕

Kangkangee Arts Village – 깡깡이 예술마을

안녕하세요! 오늘은 깡깡이 예술마을에 다녀왔습니다. 깡깡이 예술마을은 오래전부터 배를 만들고 수리해 온 마을의 역사와 예술이 어우러진 특별한 곳입니다.

먼저 선박 체험 공간을 방문해 실제 배를 개조해 만든 독특한 공간들을 구경했습니다. 학생들은 평소에 가까이에서 보기 어려운 배의 내부와 구조를 살펴보며 신기해했습니다. 또한 직접 망치를 들고 철판을 두드려 보면서 ‘깡깡이’라는 마을 이름이 어떻게 생겼는지도 몸소 경험해 보았습니다. 망치로 철판을 두드릴 때마다 ‘깡깡’ 소리가 크게 울려 퍼져 모두에게 재미있고 특별한 경험이 되었습니다.체험을 마친 후에는 아름다운 바다 풍경을 감상하고, 마을 골목을 천천히 걸으며 예술 작품들도 감상했습니다. 드라마 <무빙>의 촬영지로 알려진 양다방에도 방문했습니다. 드라마 속에 등장한 장소를 직접 보니 더욱 반갑고 신기했습니다. 옛날 분위기가 그대로 남아 있는 공간을 둘러보며 사진도 찍고 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

그다음에는 깡깡이 생활문화센터에 있는 마을 박물관을 관람했습니다. 박물관에서는 깡깡이 예술마을의 역사와 이곳에서 살아온 주민들의 이야기, 선박을 만들고 수리했던 여러 물건들을 볼 수 있었습니다.마지막으로 ‘우리 모두의 어머니’ 벽화 앞에서 다 함께 기념사진을 찍었습니다. 커다란 벽화를 배경으로 사진을 남기며 이날의 문화 체험을 즐겁게 마무리했습니다.

Hello! Today, we visited Kangkangee Arts Village. It is a unique place where art blends with the history of a village that has long been known for building and repairing ships.

We first visited a ship experience area and explored several fascinating spaces created by renovating a real ship. The students were excited to see the inside and structure of a ship up close, something they do not normally have the chance to experience.

They also picked up hammers and struck iron plates themselves, learning firsthand how Kangkangee Arts Village got its name. Each time they hit the iron plates, a loud “kkang-kkang” sound echoed through the area. It was a fun and memorable experience for everyone.

After the activity, we enjoyed the beautiful seaside scenery and took a leisurely walk through the village’s narrow alleys, admiring various works of art along the way.

We also visited Yangdabang, a traditional-style café known as one of the filming locations for the Korean drama Moving. It was exciting to see a place that appeared in the series in person. We explored the café, which still retains its charming old-fashioned atmosphere, took photos, and enjoyed spending time together.

Next, we visited the village museum inside the Kangkangee Culture and Community Center. At the museum, we learned about the history of Kangkangee Arts Village, heard stories about the residents who have lived there, and saw various tools and objects once used to build and repair ships.

Finally, we took a group photo in front of the large mural titled “The Mother of Us All.” Taking a photo together in front of the impressive mural was the perfect way to end our enjoyable cultural experience at Kangkangee Arts Village.

K-POP DANCE – RIIZE – Do Your Dance

안녕하세요!

오늘은 RIIZE(라이즈)의 ‘Do Your Dance’ K-POP 안무를 배우는 시간을 가졌어요!

안무를 배우기 전에 스트레칭으로 굳은 몸을 풀었어요.
이제 본격적으로 안무를 배워 볼까요~?

신나는 음악에 맞춰 동작을 하나씩 배워 보았답니다.

처음에는 낯설고 어려운 동작도 있었지만,

반복해서 연습하면서 점점 자신감 있게 춤을 추는 모습을 보여 주었어요!

신나는 K-POP 음악과 함께 몸을 움직이며 에너지를 가득 충전한 즐거운 시간이었습니다!

다음에는 또 어떤 재미있고 특별한 문화체험이 기다리고 있을까요~?

Today, we had a great time learning the K-POP choreography for RIIZE’s ‘Do Your Dance’!

Before learning the choreography, we started with some stretching to loosen up our bodies.

Now, shall we start learning the dance~?

We learned each move step by step while dancing along to the exciting music.

Some of the moves were unfamiliar and challenging at first, but after practicing them repeatedly, everyone became more confident and showed off their dance moves!

It was a fun and energetic time as we moved our bodies and recharged with exciting K-POP music!

What fun and special cultural experience will be waiting for us next~?

오늘은 RIIZE의 ‘Do Your Dance’ 안무를 배우며 즐거운 K-POP 댄스 문화체험을 진행했어요.

먼저 음악을 들으며 간단하게 몸을 풀고, 본격적으로 춤을 배우기 시작했어요. 신나는 음악이 나오자 자연스럽게 분위기도 즐거워졌답니다.

선생님의 동작을 따라 하며 ‘Do Your Dance’의 기본 안무를 하나씩 배워 보았어요. 처음에는 조금 어려운 동작도 있었지만 천천히 따라 하며 익혀 보았답니다.

배운 동작을 음악에 맞춰 반복해서 연습했어요. 여러 번 연습하면서 점점 동작이 자연스러워졌어요.

이번에는 안무를 이어서 음악에 맞춰 춰 보았어요. 함께 동작을 맞추며 더욱 신나게 연습할 수 있었답니다.

마지막에는 배운 안무를 처음부터 끝까지 음악에 맞춰 춰 보았어요. 모두 음악을 즐기며 열심히 춤을 췄답니다.

오늘의 문화체험을 통해 K-POP 음악을 듣는 것뿐만 아니라 직접 춤을 배우고 따라 해 보며 한국의 K-POP 문화를 더욱 가깝게 경험할 수 있었어요. 함께 춤을 추며 즐거운 추억을 만들 수 있었던 시간이었답니다.

K-POP DANCE – RIIZE – Do Your Dance

Hello everyone!

Today, we enjoyed a K-POP dance cultural experience and learned the choreography for RIIZE’s “Do Your Dance.”

First, we listened to the music and did a simple warm-up before starting the dance lesson. The exciting music created a fun atmosphere right from the beginning.

We learned the basic choreography step by step by following the instructor’s movements. Some of the moves were a little difficult at first, but everyone took their time and practiced.

We then practiced the choreography repeatedly with the music. With each practice, the movements became more natural and comfortable.

Next, we connected the different parts of the choreography and danced along to the music together.

Finally, we danced through the entire choreography from beginning to end. Everyone enjoyed the music and danced with lots of energy.

Today’s cultural experience was a fun opportunity to experience K-POP not only by listening to music but also by learning and performing the choreography. It was a great time to enjoy Korean K-POP culture and make fun memories together.

Last Monday, we went on a Gangnam Tour!

We visited different places in Gangnam, enjoyed shopping, and took some great photos together. Let’s take a look at our tour! 😆

First, we passed Exit 5 of Gangnam Station and visited the Aladin Used Bookstore near Exit 7.

Next, we walked toward Exit 10 and visited MINISO!

There were many cute character goods and small items. We especially enjoyed looking at all the adorable dolls and plush toys. 🧸✨

After that, we walked through Gangnam Food Street.

There are many interesting places in this area, including Artbox, Sulbing, and many different restaurants. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the lively streets of Gangnam. 🍧🍴

Finally, we visited the Gangnam Style Photo Zone! 📸

We took a group photo together and made another wonderful memory of our time in Gangnam.

Our Gangnam Tour ended with lots of fun and happy memories.

Student Night – 스튜던트 나잇

오늘 밋업을 했어요. 한국인 학생들과 외국인 학생들이 모두 모여 맛있는 음식도 먹고 서로 이야기하고 친구가 될 수 있는 아주 좋은 자리예요.

이번 달 밋업은 치맥! 맛있는 치킨과 맥주, 다양한 사이드디시를 시켜서 맛있게 먹었어요.

물로 쉽게 붙일 수 있는 스티커형 타투로 한껏 멋도 내 봤어요.

하필 오늘 비가 많이 와서 식당 앞에서 단체 사진을 찍지는 못했지만 깔끔한 실내에서 함께 담소를 나누며 즐거운 시간을 보내서 아주 좋았습니다. 음식 앞에서는 국적을 초월해서 모두가 친구가 될 수 있는 법이죠.

We had a meetup today! It was a great opportunity for Korean and international students to get together, enjoy some delicious food, chat, and make new friends.

This month’s meetup was all about chimaek—Korean fried chicken and beer! We ordered plenty of delicious chicken, beer, and a variety of side dishes and enjoyed them together.

We also had some fun dressing up our looks with temporary tattoo stickers that you can easily apply with water.

Unfortunately, it rained heavily today, so we couldn’t take a group photo in front of the restaurant. Still, we had a wonderful time chatting and hanging out together in the restaurant’s nice, cozy interior. After all, good food has a way of bringing everyone together, no matter where we come from!

K-POP DANCE – ATEEZ – BAD

안녕하세요. 오늘은 ATEEZ의 BAD의 안무를 배웠습니다.
이 곡의 포인트 안무로 한국에서도 아주 큰 인기를 얻어 아이돌뿐만 아니라 배우, 코미디언도 따라하며 SNS에서 유행하고 있어요.

안무를 배우기 전 신나는 음악에 맞춰 몸을 풀어 줬어요.

난이도가 높은 안무에 처음에 살짝 놀랐지만 안무 선생님을 따라 천천히 동작이 하나하나 완성됐어요.
선생님과 마치 한 명처럼 춤을 추는 모습이 정말 멋있었어요. 박자를 하나하나 다 표현하는 안무라서 조금 힘들었지만 포인트 안무까지 멋지게 배웠어요.

마지막으로 안무 선생님 없이! 처음부터 끝까지 춤을 맞춰 보는 영상 촬영과 함께 수업을 마무리했습니다.

Hello, everyone! Today, we learned the choreography for ATEEZ’s “BAD.”

With its standout point dance, this song has become hugely popular in Korea. It’s currently trending all over social media, with idols, actors, and comedians all joining in on the challenge!

Before diving into the choreography, we warmed up to some energetic music. Everyone was a bit surprised at first by the high difficulty level, but by following the instructor step-by-step, the movements slowly came together.

Watching the students dance in perfect sync with the instructor was truly amazing! Since the choreography expresses every single beat, it was a bit challenging, but everyone mastered the key point moves brilliantly.

Finally, we wrapped up the class by filming a video where the students danced the entire routine from start to finish—completely on their own without the instructor!

Haeundae & Haeundae Market – 해운대 & 해운대 시장

안녕하세요! 오늘은 해운대와 해운대 시장으로 문화 체험을 다녀왔어요.

먼저 해운대 바다에 도착해 아름다운 바다 풍경을 감상하고 함께 사진을 찍었습니다. 바닷물에 발을 담가 보기도 하고, 시원한 바닷물과 모래사장을 직접 체험하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

바다에서 즐거운 시간을 보낸 후에는 해운대 시장을 방문했습니다. 시장에서는 다양한 음식과 활기찬 분위기를 경험할 수 있었습니다. 게 튀김을 시식해 보고, 김치전과 같은 한국 음식을 직접 사서 맛보았습니다. 각자 먹고 싶은 음식을 고르고 함께 나누어 먹으면서 한국의 시장 문화를 더욱 가까이에서 느낄 수 있었습니다.

이번 문화 체험을 통해 한국의 아름다운 자연뿐만 아니라 시장의 음식과 일상적인 분위기도 경험할 수 있었습니다. 해운대의 바다와 해운대 시장에서 모두 즐겁고 특별한 추억을 만들었습니다.

Hello! Today, we went on a cultural experience trip to Haeundae Beach and Haeundae Market.

First, we enjoyed the beautiful ocean views at Haeundae Beach and took photos together. Some students dipped their feet in the seawater and had a wonderful time experiencing the cool water and sandy beach.

After enjoying the beach, we visited Haeundae Market. There, we experienced a lively atmosphere and tried a variety of foods. We sampled fried crab and bought Korean foods, such as kimchi pancakes, that we wanted to try.

By choosing and sharing the foods we wanted to eat, we were able to experience Korean market culture more closely.

Through this cultural experience, the students enjoyed not only Korea’s beautiful nature but also the food and everyday atmosphere of a traditional market. We made many fun and special memories at Haeundae Beach and Haeundae Market.

Mother-of-Pearl Craft – 자개공예 그립톡 만들기

모두 더운 여름 잘 보내고 있나요?

이번 금요일 문화체험 수업 시간에는 ‘자개 공예 그립톡 만들기’를 진행했어요!
자개 공예는 조개 껍데기를 얇게 만들어 아름답게 표현하는 한국의 전통 예술이에요.

우리는 먼저 영상으로 자개를 만드는 과정을 봤어요.
시간과 정성이 정말 많이 들어가서 깜짝 놀랐어요! 😲

그리고 나만의 그립톡 디자인을 스케치해 봤어요.

스케치를 한 후에는 자개를 작게 잘라 그립톡에 붙였어요!

집중해서 한 땀 한 땀 자개를 붙이는 학생들의 모습이에요. 😊

그립톡을 다 만들고, 각자의 디자인과 의미를 담은 자개 그립톡을 친구들에게 소개했어요!

반짝반짝 정말 아름답지 않나요?

During our cultural experience class this Friday, we made mother-of-pearl PopSocket!
Mother-of-pearl craft is a traditional Korean art that uses thin pieces of seashell to create beautiful, shimmering designs.

First, we watched a video showing how mother-of-pearl is made and crafted.
We were amazed by how much time, patience, and care goes into the process! 😲

Then, we sketched our own designs for our phone grips.

After finishing our sketches, we cut the mother-of-pearl into small pieces and carefully attached them to our phone grips.
Here are our students concentrating as they carefully placed each tiny piece one by one. 😊

Once everyone had finished, we introduced our mother-of-pearl grip toks to our classmates and shared the ideas and meanings behind our designs!

Aren’t they beautifully shiny and sparkling?

Mother-of-Pearl Craft – 자개공예 그립톡

안녕하세요!

오늘은 자개 공예 그립톡 만들기 문화 체험을 진행했어요. 자개는 조개 껍데기를 씻고 자르고 말리는 과정을 통해 만들어져요. 이렇게 정성이 많이 들어간 자개를 이용하여 만드는 한국의 전통 공예가 바로 자개공예예요. 그래서 자개공예는 과거 왕실과 귀족들이 사용하던 특별한 공예예요.

자개공예는 나무등으로 만든 기물 위에 옻칠을 하고 처리를 한 뒤, 빛나는 자개를 끊음질로 문양을 붙인후 완성돼요. 정밀한 손작업과 수차례의 옻칠이 반복되는 섬세한 작업이에요.

우리는 간단한 키트로 나만의 특별한 그립톡을 만들었어요. 먼저 각자 원하는 문양을 선택했어요. 나비는 자유와 아름다움을, 연꽃은 깨끗함과 평화를, 모란은 부귀를, 매화는 봄의 시작을 상징해요. 준비된 문양을 먼저 그립톡 베이스에 붙히고, 긴 자개를 끊음질로 잘라서 자신이 원하는 디자인대로 하나하나 정성껏 붙혔어요.

작은 조각들을 나무스틱을 사용해 하나씩 붙혀야 해서 집중력이 필요한 작업이에요. 원하는 디자인대로 다 붙혔다면 이제 코팅과 건조 순서예요. 코팅액을 그립톡 전체에 바르고 또 건조시키는 작업을 두 세번 반복했어요. 자개공예는 시간과 노력이 정말 많이 필요한 공예예요.

나만의 그립톡을 완성했어요. 이제 친구들에게 자랑해볼까요. 나만의 그립톡에 이름을 지어주고 친구들에게 이야기해요. 한국어가 조금 서툰 학생도, 한국어를 잘 하는 학생도 한국어로 이야기해 보았어요. 친구들에게 자랑도 하고 처음 만난 친구에게는 궁금한 점도 서로 물어보면서 편안하고 즐겁게 활동했어요.

한국어 전통 문화를 체험해보고 나만의 그립톡도 생기는 멋진 시간이었어요.

Today, we had a cultural activity where we made mother-of-pearl phone toks. Mother-of-Pearl is crafted by washing, cutting, and drying seashells. Traditional Korean craft using these carefully prepared piecs of shell is call mother-of-pearl craft(Jagae-gongye). Because of the painstaking effort required, is was a special art form historically enjoyed by royalty and nobility.

Mother-of-Pearl craft involves applying lacquer coastings onto bases made of wood or other materials, followed by intricate docorative techniques like kkeunheum-jil(cutting shell strips into fine pieces) to place glowing designs. It is c delicate process requiring precision and multiple layers of lacquer.

We made our own unique phone toks using a simplified DIY kit. First, everyone chose their preferred patterns. Butterfly:symbolizes purify and peace / Lotus:symbolizes purify and peace / Peony:symbolizes wealth and honor / Plum bloosom:symbolizes the arrival of spring

We placed our selected base patterns onto the phone tok surface and carefully attached long strips of mother-of-pearl, cutting them into piece by piece with care to match out desired designs.

Using small wooden stiks to attach each tiny piece required deep focus. Once the design was completed, it was time for coasing and drying. We applied a coaing liquid over the entire phone tok and let it dry, repeaing this step two to there times. Mother-of-pearl craft truly requires a great deal of time and effort.

Finally, our custom phone toks were complete. We then took time to show off our work, give our phone toks names, and craft with ffriends. Wheather fluent or still learning Korean, students bonded over Korean, asked questions it it was their first time meeing, and enjoyed a comfortable, fun experience together.

It was a worderful time to experience traditional Korean culture while taking home a personalized phone tok.
