[JOB CLUB] 잡클럽

안녕하세요? 오늘은 한국에서 일을 하고 싶어하는 학생들을 위한 잡클럽(Job Club) 액티비티가 진행되었습니다. 잡클럽은 한국에서 취업하고자 하는 학생들에게 취업 과정에 필요한 여러 과업들을 한국어로 연습하고 준비해 볼 수 있도록 도와주는 액티비티예요.

오늘은 두 명의 학생이 참석했는데요, 1교시에는 외국인 채용 사이트인 코워크, 워크온, 서울스타트 등에서 원하는 일자리를 서치하는 방법과 이력서 업로드 하는 방법을 배웠습니다.

2교시에는 한국어로 직접 이력서와 자기소개서를 써보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 자신의 강점과 약점, 과거의 경험과 경력을 어떻게 하면 간결하면서도 임팩트 있게 잘 쓸 수 있을지 같이 의논도 하고 면접 시 질문할 만한 예상 질문들에 대해 직접 대답해보는 연습도 해보았습니다. 한국어로 이력서와 자기소개서를 작정하고 면접 준비를 하는 것이 처음이어서 조금 어렵겠지만 잡클럽과 함께 차근차근 준비한다면 꼭 취업에 성공할 수 있을 거에요!

한국에서 취업을 원하는 학생들에게 조금이라도 도움이 되길 바라면서 잡 클럽(Job Club)은 또 다음 달에도 기다리고 있겠습니다~!

Hello! Today, we held a Job Club program for students who want to work in Korea. Job Club is a program where students hoping to work in Korea can practice and prepare the skills they need for the job-seeking process, all in Korean.

We had two students attend today. During the first part, the students learned how to sign up for the job portal sites for foreigners like Kowork, workon, and Seoulstart, and how to upload a resume. The students also explored various job postings in their desired field to see real opportunities available in the market.

In the second part, we focused on writing resumes and cover letters in Korean. Together, we discussed how to express strengths, weaknesses, and past experiences clearly and effectively. The students also practiced answering potential interview questions in Korean.

It may feel a bit challenging at first to prepare resumes, cover letters, and interviews in Korean—but with steady effort through the Job Club, success in getting a job in Korea will definitely come!

Our Job Club will continue next month, too.

We hope it keeps helping students take one step closer to their dreams of working in Korea!

K-POP DANCE – ILLIT – It’s Me

안녕하세요!

오늘은 K-POP 안무를 배웠어요!

이번 시간에 배운 안무는 ILLIT의 ‘It’s Me’​예요.

안무를 배우기 전에 스트레칭으로 굳은 몸을 풀었어요.

이번 곡은 뛰는 동작이 많이 나오는 안무라서, 본격적으로 배우기 전에 가볍게 뛰는 연습도 함께 했어요.

이제 본격적으로 안무를 배워 볼까요?

안무 선생님을 따라 한 동작씩 천천히 익혀 갔어요.

이번 안무는 동작이 빠르고 에너지가 넘쳐서 체력이 많이 필요한 편이었어요.

뛰는 동작이 많아 춤을 추면서 자연스럽게 운동도 많이 되었답니다;)

동작도 많고 계속 뛰어야 해서 쉽지는 않았지만,

연습할수록 점점 더 자연스럽고 멋지게 춤을 추게 되었어요:)

마지막으로 각자 휴대폰으로 동영상을 촬영했어요.

나중에 즐거운 추억으로 남을 것 같아요:)

Today, we learned a K-pop dance routine!

The choreography we learned today was “It’s Me” by ILLIT.

Before we started dancing, we warmed up with some stretching to loosen our muscles.

Since this choreography includes a lot of jumping, we also practiced jumping a little before getting into the dance.

Now, let’s get started!

We followed our dance instructor and learned the choreography one move at a time.

This dance was fast-paced, energetic, and definitely required a lot of stamina.

With so many jumping movements, we ended up getting a great workout while having fun dancing. 😉

There were lots of moves to remember, and all the jumping made it challenging, but everyone improved with each practice and danced more naturally and confidently. 🙂

At the end of the class, everyone recorded a video of themselves with their phones.

We’re sure these videos will become wonderful memories to look back on. 🙂

It was such a fun and enjoyable time!

Student Night – 스튜던트 나잇

매달 마지막 주 금요일 외국인 학생들과 한국어 학생들이 함께 모여 스튜던트 나잇을 진행했습니다.
매달 메뉴가 바뀌는데, 이번 메뉴는 치킨과 맥주였어요.

맛있는 음식을 나누며 자연스럽게 대화가 시작되었습니다.
한국 학생들은 한국의 문화를 소개하며 친구들에게 알려주었고,
외국인 학생들도 각자의 문화를 공유하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

서로 다른 언어로 소통하면서 웃음이 끊이지 않았습니다.
음식 덕분에 분위기는 더욱 따뜻하고 편안해졌습니다.

문화와 언어가 어우러진 특별한 교류의 장이 되었어요. 단순한 모임이 아니라 서로를 이해하고 가까워지는 시간이었습니다. 이번 스튜던트 나잇은 모두에게 잊지 못할 추억으로 남을 것 같습니다.

This time, foreign students and Korean language students gathered together for Student Night. The menu changes every month, and this time the theme was chicken and beer. Sharing delicious food made conversations flow naturally. Korean students introduced aspects of Korean culture to their friends, while foreign students also shared their own cultures and stories. Different languages filled the room, and laughter never stopped. The food helped create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It became a special place where culture and language came together. It wasn’t just a simple gathering, but a time to understand each other better. This Student Night will remain an unforgettable memory for everyone.

WAR MEMORIAL OF KOREA–전쟁기념관

오늘은 외국인 학생들과 전쟁기념관을 다녀왔습니다.
날씨가 맑아서 견학하기 좋은 하루였어요.

처음에 학생들은 전시된 무기와 헬리콥터를 보며 눈을 반짝이며 감탄했습니다.
“와, 정말 멋있다!”라는 반응이 자연스럽게 나왔죠.

하지만 시간이 지나면서 전쟁의 아픈 역사를 접하게 되자 분위기가 달라졌습니다.
학생들은 차분히 전시물을 바라보며 진지하게 이야기를 나누었습니다.

A Visit to the War Memorial with Foreign Students

Today, I went to the War Memorial with foreign students. The weather was clear, making it a perfect day for a field trip. At first, the students were fascinated by the weapons and helicopters on display. They looked around excitedly, saying, “Wow, that’s so cool!” But as they learned more about the painful history of war, the mood changed. The students grew quiet and observed the exhibits thoughtfully. They came to understand the sadness war leaves behind and the importance of peace. I also learned and reflected a lot while walking through the museum with them. It wasn’t just sightseeing—it was an experience that touched the heart. This day will remain a lasting memory for all of us.

COEX Starfield-별마당도서관

안녕하세요! 오늘은 코엑스 별마당 도서관에 다녀왔어요.

첫 번째로, 케이팝 스타 핸드 프린트 전시 구역에 갔어요. 좋아하는 스타들의 손 모양을 직접 보고 사진도 찍으며 즐거운 시간을 보냈어요. 다양한 스타들의 핸드 프린트를 보면서 한국의 케이팝 문화를 더 가까이 느낄 수 있었어요!

다음으로 강남 스타일 동상 구역에 갔어요. 동상 앞에서 재미있는 포즈로 사진도 찍고 즐거운 추억을 만들었어요. 노래와 함께 한국의 대표적인 문화를 경험할 수 있는 시간이었어요!

마지막으로 코엑스 지하와 별마당 도서관을 둘러봤어요. 별마당 도서관에서는 다양한 책을 구경하고 멋진 공간에서 사진도 찍었어요.

오늘도 함께 즐겁고 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈습니다! 😊

First, we visited the K-pop Star Handprint Zone. We had a great time looking at the handprints of our favorite K-pop stars and taking photos. It was a fun way to experience Korean K-pop culture up close!

Next, we stopped by the Gangnam Style Statue. We struck fun poses in front of the statue and took lots of pictures together. It was a great opportunity to experience one of Korea’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

Finally, we explored the COEX Underground Mall and Starfield Library. We looked around the library, browsed a variety of books, and took photos in the beautiful space. It was another enjoyable and memorable day together! 😊

WAR MEMORIAL OF KOREA–전쟁기념관

안녕하세요~

오늘은 학생들과 전쟁기념관에 다녀왔습니다. 전쟁기념관은 한국에서 일어난 전쟁의 아픈 역사를 추모하고 평화를 기원하는 곳이에요. 버스에서 내려 정문에 들어서자마자 제일 먼저 웅장한 6.25 전쟁기념탑이 우리를 맞이해주었습니다.

먼저 옥외 전시장을 둘러보고 우리는 박물관 안으로 들어갔습니다. 박물관 내부에는 6.25 전쟁실, 전쟁역사실, 대형무기실 등 테마별로 다양한 전시 공간이 있었는데 전시된 무기, 군복, 영상 등을 통해 한국전쟁과 군사 역사에 대해 쉽게 배울 수 있었어요.

6.25 전쟁실은 6.25전쟁의 발발 배경과 전쟁의 과정을 시간의 순서대로 잘 보여주고 있어 한국전쟁에 대해 쉽게 이해할 수 있었습니다.   다음으로 둘러본 전쟁역사실은 선사 시대부터 현대까지 한국의 전쟁 역사를 볼 수 있는 곳이었습니다. 임진왜란때 이순신 장군이 사용했던 거북선 앞에서 기념 촬영도 했답니다.

호국추모실이 리노베이션 중이어서 관람을 못 한 것이 조금 아쉬웠지만 한국 사람들이 겪은 전쟁과 평화를 위한 노력을 느낄 수 있었던 소중한 시간이었습니다.

Today, We visited the War Memorial of Korea.

The War Memorial of Korea is a place where visitors can learn about the painful history of wars on the Korean Peninsula, honor those who sacrificed their lives, and reflect on the importance of peace.

As soon as we entered through the main gate, we were greeted by the magnificent Korean War Memorial Monument.

We first explored the outdoor exhibition area before heading inside the museum. The museum is divided into several themed exhibition halls and through real military equipment, uniforms, and multimedia displays, we were able to learn about the Korean War and Korea’s military history.

The Korean War Exhibition Hall was especially informative. It presents the background of the Korean War, how it began, and how it unfolded in chronological order. Next, we visited the War History Exhibition Hall, where we explored Korea’s military history from prehistoric times to the present day. One of the highlights was taking a commemorative photo in front of the famous ‘Turtle Ship’, which was used by Admiral Yi Sun-sin during the Imjin War.

Unfortunately, the Patriots Memorial Hall was under renovation, so we couldn’t visit it. Even so, the trip gave us a valuable opportunity to better understand the hardships the Korean people have endured through war and their continued efforts to preserve peace.

If you’re interested in Korean history or the Korean War, I highly recommend visiting the War Memorial of Korea. It’s more than just a museum—it’s a meaningful place where you can learn about history while reflecting on the value of peace.

Traditional Korean Games – 전통놀이

안녕하세요. 오늘은 한국의 전통놀이인 제기차기, 공기놀이, 윷놀이, 구슬치기를 해 보았어요.

먼저 제기차기는 팀을 나누어 시합을 했어요. 서로 응원하면서 즐겁게 경쟁할 수 있어서 가장 재미있었던 활동이었어요.

공기놀이는 작은 공깃돌을 이용해 손으로 던지고 받으며 하는 놀이예요. 처음에는 조금 어려웠지만 연습할수록 재미있었어요.

윷놀이는 팀 안에서 자유롭게 즐겼어요. 윷을 던져 나온 결과에 따라 말을 움직이며 게임을 했어요.

구슬치기도 팀원들끼리 함께 했어요. 구슬을 굴리거나 맞히면서 즐거운 시간을 보냈어요.

오늘 다양한 한국의 전통놀이를 직접 체험할 수 있어서 재미있었고, 친구들과 함께해서 더욱 즐거운 시간이었어요.

Hello! Today, I got to experience traditional Korean games such as Jegichagi, Gonggi, Yutnori, and Marble Games.

First, we played Jegichagi as a team competition. We cheered for each other and had fun competing, so it was my favorite activity.

Next, we played Gonggi, a game where you throw and catch small stones with one hand. It was a little difficult at first, but it became more fun as I practiced.

For Yutnori, each team played on their own. We threw the Yut sticks and moved our pieces according to the results.

We also played Marble Games with our teammates. We had fun rolling and hitting the marbles together.

It was a great experience to try different traditional Korean games, and I enjoyed spending time with my classmates.

KPOP DANCE – CORTIS – REDRED

안녕하세요! 오늘은 요즘 SNS 댄스 챌린지 곡으로 유명한 CORTIS의 REDRED 안무를 배웠어요.

춤을 배우기 전에 음악에 맞춰 스트레칭을 하며 몸을 충분히 풀어줍니다.
처음에는 음악에 맞춰 몸을 푸는 것이 어색했지만 선생님이 스트레칭도 재미있게 가르쳐줘서 분위기가 점점 편해졌답니다.

동작 하나하나 열심히 배우는 모습이 아주 열정적이었습니다. 작은 박자 하나에도 움직임이 있는 안무라 조금 힘들었지만 웃음을 잃지 않으며 계속 연습했답니다.

한 사람처럼 움직이는 모습이 보이시나요? 정말 땀 뻘뻘 흘려가며 열정적으로 연습한 결과, 이렇게 멋진 장면을 볼 수 있었답니다.
마지막으로 안무에 나오는 포즈를 취하며 선생님과 사진을 촬영하며 이번 K-pop 댄스 수업을 마무리했습니다.

Hello! Today, we learned the choreography for “REDRED” by CORTIS, which is currently a viral sensation for social media dance challenges.

Before starting the main routine, we spent enough time warming up and stretching to the music. Although stretching to the beat felt a bit awkward initially, the instructor made it highly engaging, which helped create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

The students showed incredible passion, dedicating themselves to learning every single movement. The choreography was quite intense, with specific moves hitting every micro-beat, but everyone kept practicing with bright smiles on their faces.

Can you see how beautifully synchronized they are? Moving as one, this amazing result is the reward of their passionate, sweat-filled practice.

Finally, we wrapped up this K-pop dance session by striking the main pose from the choreography and taking a memorable photo with our instructor.

U.N. Peace Memorial – U.N. 평화기념관

오늘 U.N. 평화기념관에 갔어요. 이곳은 U.N.이 특히 한국의 역사에서 어떤 위치에 있는지를 한국 전쟁이 있던 시기를 중심으로 살펴보는 곳이에요.

입구는 회색 톤으로 점잖게 돼 있어요. 역사적으로 중요한 순간들과 연관되어 있는 만큼 경건한 마음을 갖게 하기 위함인 것 같아요.

들어가면 제2차 세계대전 직후 한반도의 남북 분단부터 역사가 이어져요. 당시 국제 정세가 어땠는지, 그것이 한반도에 어떤 외적인 정치적 압력으로 작용했는지, 그 결과 한반도가 어떻게 되었는지 알 수 있어요. 설명이 한국어와 영어로 되어 있어서 둘 중 어느 한 언어를 할 줄 알면 충분히 읽고 이해할 수 있어요.

이 박물관에서 특히 중요하게 다뤄지는 것이 한국 전쟁이에요. 한국 역사상 U.N.과 가장 중요하게 연이 닿았던 때가 이때이기 때문입니다.

곳곳에 옛 모습을 재연한 레플리카고 있고 동영상 형식의 자료도 있어요.

당시에 참전했던 U.N.군과 관련한 통계 자료 및 군복도 소개돼 있어요.

한국 현대사의 시작이 이 시기인 만큼 특히 20세기 중반부터 21세기 전까지의 한국과 관련한 사항들 중 상당수가 이 시기와 직간접적으로 연관되어 있습니다. 그래서 한국과 인연이 있는 사람들에게는 자신들의 뿌리와 관련해 더 깊은 시간을 가질 수 있는 시간이었어요.

산을 깎아 만든 동네에 있는 박물관이라 올라오는 게 쉽지 않았지만 그래도 공기가 좋은 편이어서 쾌적하게 둘러보고 마칠 수 있었어요.

Today, we visited the U.N. Peace Memorial Hall. This is a place where we can learn about the role of the U.N. in Korean history, with a particular focus on the period of the Korean War.

The entrance is designed in calm shades of gray. Since it is connected to historically significant moments, it seems intended to inspire a sense of solemnity.

Once we enter, the exhibition begins with the division of the Korean Peninsula into North and South immediately after World War II. We can learn what the international situation was like at the time, how it created external political pressure on the Korean Peninsula, and what the resulting consequences were. The explanations are provided in both Korean and English, so being able to read either language is enough to understand the exhibits.

The Korean War is given particular emphasis in this museum. This is because it was during this period that the U.N. had its most significant connection with Korean history.

Throughout the museum, there are replicas recreating scenes from the past, as well as video exhibits.

Statistical materials related to the U.N. forces that participated in the war, along with their military uniforms, are also on display.

Since this period marks the beginning of modern Korean history, many events related to Korea from the mid-20th century to the period before the 21st century are directly or indirectly connected to it. For that reason, it was a meaningful opportunity for people with ties to Korea to spend time reflecting more deeply on their own roots.

The museum is located in a neighborhood built on land carved out of a mountainside, so getting there was not easy. Still, the air was quite fresh, allowing us to enjoy the visit comfortably from beginning to end.

If you are interested in Korean history, it is definitely worth visiting at least once. We hope you will come and see it for yourself!

HiKR Ground – 하이커 그라운드

안녕하세요. 오늘은 을지로입구역 근처에 있는 HiKR Ground (하이커그라운드)에 다녀왔어요. 

하이커 그라운드는 K-POP 체험과 미디어 아트 관람을 동시에 할 수 있는 한국 관광 홍보관으로.

‘하이커 그라운드’의 이름에는 한국(KR)이 반가운 인사(Hi)를 건네고 글로벌 여행자들의 놀이터(Playground)가 되겠다는 뜻이 담겨있다고 해요. 

건물에 들어서자 1층의 대형 스크린 벽인 ‘하이커 월’이 우리를 반겨 주었어요. 화면에는 한국 문화 관광을 소재로 다양한 영상들이 나와 방문객들의 시선을 한번에 사로잡았어요. 하이커 월 앞에서 다 같이 사진 한 번 찰칵!

멋지게 꾸며진 계단을 통해 바로 2층으로 올라갔어요. 2층에는 라이브 스튜디오와 뮤직비디오 무대장치를 체험하며 직접 한류 콘텐츠의 주인공이 되어 볼 수 있는 ‘K-팝 그라운드’가 준비되어 있어요.

오늘은 나도 K-pop 아이돌! 그동안 연습하며 즐기던 K-pop 댄스를 마음껏 뽐내며 뮤직비디오의 주인공이 되어 보았답니다.

3층은 K-아트 기획 전시관인 ‘하이커 아트리움’. 직접 스케이트 보드를 타는 것 같은 경험을 할 수 있는 영상과 장비로 즐기고, 한국 사람들의 문화에서 빠질 수 없는 노래방도 있어 다 같이 노래를 부르며 재미 있는 시간을 즐겼답니다.

또한 유투버나 틱톡커같은 1인 영상 크리에이터도 경험해 보고, 스티커 사진을 찍어 꾸며보면서 웃음이 끊기지 않았어요.

4층은 한국의 대표 관광지를 오감으로 느낄 수 있는 ‘하이커 케이브’와 다양한 지역 축제를 만나볼 수 있는 ‘축제체험관’이 있어, 서울을 비롯한 다른 도시의 관광지 소개도 보고 대표 관광지 모습을 스탬프로 찍어 기념품으로 가져갈 수도 있어요.

5층은 청계천을 조망할 수 있는 ‘하이커 라운지’와 ‘관광안내센터’가 있어 테라스에 나가 경치를 구경하며 카페에서 잠시 휴식을 취하기도 했어요.

무더운 여름, 여러분도 이 곳에 와서 한국과 한국 문화를 경험하고 기념품도 가져가 추억을 만들어 보는 것이 어떨까요?

Hello! Today, we visited HiKR Ground, located near Euljiro 1-ga Station.

HiKR Ground is a Korean tourism promotional hall where you can experience K-POP and enjoy media art at the same time. The name “HiKR Ground” combines a welcoming greeting (Hi) to Korea (KR) with the concept of a playground for global travelers.

As soon as we stepped into the building, we were greeted by the “HiKR Wall,” a massive media screen on the first floor. It immediately caught everyone’s attention with various videos showcasing Korean culture and tourism. We couldn’t resist snapping a group photo right in front of it!

– 2nd Floor: K-POP Ground

We headed straight up to the second floor via a beautifully designed staircase. This floor features “K-POP Ground,” where you can become the star of your own Hallyu content by experiencing live studios and music video stages.

Today, I was a K-pop idol! We showed off the K-pop dances we’ve been practicing and truly felt like the main characters of a music video.

– 3rd Floor: HiKR Atrium

The third floor is “HiKR Atrium,” a special exhibition hall for K-art. We enjoyed videos and equipment that made us feel like we were actually skateboarding. There was also a karaoke booth—an essential part of Korean culture—where we all sang along and had a blast. We even got to experience life as a one-person creator (like a YouTuber or TikToker) and decorated photo booth stickers, which kept us laughing the whole time.

– 4th Floor: HiKR Cave & Festival Zone

On the fourth floor, you’ll find “HiKR Cave,” where you can experience Korea’s hidden gems through all five senses, and the “Festival Zone,” which introduces various regional festivals. We looked through travel guides for Seoul and other cities, and even collected stamps of Korea’s major attractions to take home as souvenirs.

– 5th Floor: HiKR Lounge & Tourist Information Center

The fifth floor houses the “HiKR Lounge” and a “Tourist Information Center.” We stepped out onto the terrace to enjoy the scenic view of Cheonggyecheon Stream and took a relaxing break at the cafe.
