오늘은 한국에서 취업을 준비하는 학생들을 위한 ‘잡클럽(Job Club)’ 수업이 있었습니다.
외국인 학생들이 한국에서 취업을 하려면 비자 문제나 언어 장벽 등 여러 어려움을 겪을 수 밖에 없는데요, 바로 잡클럽은 이러한 어려움들을 함께 도와줄 수 있는 수업이에요.
이번 수업에는 한 명의 학생이 참여했습니다.
1교시에는 다양한 구직 사이트를 살펴보고 실제로 지원할 수 있는 회사와 직무를 찾아보는 시간을 가졌어요. 완전히 마음에 드는 일자리를 찾지는 못했지만, 외국인이 한국에서 할 수 있는 일의 종류와 취업을 위해 필요한 조건들을 알아볼 수 있어 의미 있는 시간이었습니다.
이어진 2교시에는 이력서를 직접 작성해 보고, 잘 작성된 자기소개서를 함께 읽어보며 효과적인 작성 방법에 대해 배웠습니다. 처음에는 어렵게 느껴질 수 있지만, 차근차근 연습하면서 잡클럽과 함께 준비해 나간다면 나만의 자기소개서를 작성하는 것이 그리 어렵지 않을 거에요.

Today, I’d like to share about a “Job Club” class designed for students preparing to find a job in Korea.
As foreign students get ready to work in Korea, they often face various challenges such as visa issues and language barriers. Job Club is a class that helps them navigate these difficulties and find solutions step by step.
In this session, one student participated.
During the first class, we explored various job search websites and looked for companies and positions the student could realistically apply for. Although they didn’t find a job that perfectly matched their preferences, it was still a meaningful experience as they were able to learn about the types of jobs available to foreigners in Korea and what qualifications are needed.
In the second class, the student practiced writing a resume and reviewed well-written personal statements to learn effective writing strategies. It may feel a bit challenging at first, but with consistent practice and guidance from Job Club, creating a strong personal statement becomes much more achievable.
