JOB CLUB – 이력서 만들기

Job Club is a FREE special session designed to support students who want to work in Korea. For foreigners, finding a job here can be challenging—there are issues like visas, language barriers, and cultural differences. Through Job Club, students get guidance and practical help to overcome these obstacles step by step.

This week, we had two students join the session. One of them came to Korea on a Working Holiday visa with the goal of finding a job here. The other works at a recruitment company and was curious about what Lexis’s Job Club offers.

Together, we explored several job search websites and looked into what kinds of companies and positions are available. The student on a Working Holiday visa had a clear idea of what kind of work they wanted, and during the session they actually found opportunities that matched their interests. It was an exciting moment for everyone!

We also practiced writing resumes and read through examples of well-written cover letters to learn how to structure them effectively. On top of that, we discussed the top 10 most common interview questions and practiced answering them. It felt almost like a real interview—nervous smiles and all—but both students did an excellent job.

Traveling abroad is always exciting, but living and working in a new country brings real challenges. The very first step is finding a company that is willing to hire you. 잡 클럽(Job Club)은 한국에서 일을 하고자 하는 학생들에게 도움을 주기 위한 수업이에요. 외국인이 한국에서 일하기 위해서는 비자, 언어 등 여러 문제가 있지만 잡클럽을 통해서 도움을 받으면서 해결해 나갈 수 있어요.

이번주에 잡클럽 수업을 들은 학생은 두 명이었어요. 한 학생은 한국에서 취직하려고 워킹홀리데이 비자를 받아서 오신 분이고, 다른 학생은 리크루트 회사에서 일하시는 분이어서 우리 렉시스의 잡클럽에 관심이 많으셨대요.

일자리를 검색할 수 있는 여러 사이트들을 둘러보고 실제로 어떤 회사에서 어떤 일을 할 수 있는지 관심이 있는 회사와 일의 종류를 검색해 봤어요. 워킹홀리데이를 온 학생은 자신이 하고 싶은 일이 확실했는데 자신이 진짜 원하는 회사와 업무를 찾을 수 있었어요! 그래서 우리 모두 신이 났답니다.

직접 이력서도 써 보고, 잘 씌여진 자기소개서를 읽으면서 어떻게 써야 하는지도 배웠어요. 또 면접 시험에서 가장 많이 물어보는 질문 10가지에 대해 나는 어떻게 대답하면 좋을까를 생각해보고 대답하는 기회도 있었어요. 진짜 면접 시험을 보는 것처럼 긴장도 되었지만 두 학생 모두 훌륭하게 대답을 잘 해 주었어요.

외국을 여행하는 것은 아주 신나는 일이에요. 하지만 일을 하면서 현지인으로 살게 되면 어려운 점이 많이 있어요. 일을 할 수 있는 회사를 찾는 것이 가장 처음으로 해결해야 할 숙제겠지요. 렉시스에 오시면 저희가 도와드릴 수 있어요. 항상 여러분을 기다리고 있을게요.

Bongeunsa – 봉은사

Today, we visited Bongeunsa Temple! This program was more than just a simple tour—it was a meaningful opportunity to experience and learn about Korea’s traditional culture firsthand. Nestled right in the heart of Seoul, Bongeunsa may be surrounded by towering skyscrapers, but once you step inside, the serene atmosphere and the beauty of the temple grounds make it feel as if you’ve entered another world.

From the very entrance, we could feel the solemn and majestic atmosphere. As we walked further, the Four Heavenly Kings greeted us. Their fierce expressions might seem intimidating at first, but within them lies the spirit of the temple and the essence of ancient Buddhist art. While exploring Bongeunsa, we reflected on aspects of Buddhist culture and the meaning behind its architecture, realizing once again how deeply rooted Korean culture is in its spiritual traditions. Standing before the main hall, watching people pay their respects to the Buddha, was an especially calming and grounding experience.

One of the highlights was seeing the iconic Maitreya Buddha statue. It wasn’t just sightseeing—it was a moment filled with reverence. Gazing up at the towering figure, we were overwhelmed by its presence, while the stillness of the centuries-old halls and trees around us left a lasting impression beyond words.

This field trip was more than a cultural experience—it was a meaningful chance to better understand Korea’s spiritual heritage and traditions. Though short, it left our hearts lighter and gave us a renewed appreciation for the beauty of Korean culture. We look forward to more of these enriching cultural experiences together with Lexis!

오늘은 봉은사를 방문했어요! 이번 프로그램은 단순한 견학이 아니라, 한국 전통문화를 직접 체험하고 배울 수 있는 소중한 시간이었어요. 서울 도심 한가운데 자리 잡은 봉은사는 고층 빌딩들 사이에 있지만, 안으로 들어서면 고즈넉한 분위기와 함께 전통 사찰의 아름다움이 펼쳐져 마치 다른 세상에 온 듯한 느낌을 주었습니다.

봉은사 입구에서부터 장엄한 분위기를 느낄 수 있었습니다. 조금 안으로 들어가자 사천왕이 저희를 맞아주었어요. 조금은 무섭게 생겼지만 그 속에서 사찰의 분위기와 옛 불교 예술의 정수를 느낄 수 있었습니다. 봉은사를 둘러보며 평소에 잘 알지 못했던 불교 문화와 그리고 사찰 건축물에 담긴 의미들을 생각해보며 한국 문화가 얼마나 깊은 정신적 뿌리를 가지고 있는지 새삼 깨달을 수 있었습니다. 특히 대웅전 앞에서 부처님께 올리는 예절을 지켜보며 몸과 마음이 차분해지는 경험을 했습니다.

또한 봉은사의 대표적인 문화유산인 미륵대불을 보며, 단순히 관광이 아닌 경건함을 느낄 수 있던 것도 큰 의미가 있었습니다. 거대한 미륵대불을 올려다보며 느낀 압도적인 기운과, 오래된 나무와 전각들에서 전해지는 고요함은 말로 다 표현하기 어려웠습니다.

이번 현지학습은 단순한 체험을 넘어, 한국의 정신문화와 전통을 더 깊이 이해할 수 있었던 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다. 짧은 시간이었지만 마음이 한층 가벼워지고, 한국 문화의 아름다움에 대해 다시금 생각해보게 되었습니다. 앞으로도 이런 배움의 시간을 통해 렉시스와 함께 더 많은 문화적 경험을 쌓아가 보아요!

Taekwondo – 태권도

Hello! On the first Friday of September, we held a cultural experience event learning Taekwondo.

Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art that trains both the body and the mind. When we arrived at the Taekwondo studio, we began with a salute to the national flag, followed by some light stretching.

As the real class began, you could see the students’ eyes light up with focus!

We learned the basic charyeot (attention) stance and swi-eo (at ease) stance.
Then, we practiced how to make a proper fist and the correct posture for punching.

From front kicks to side kicks, axe kicks, and even roundhouse kicks — we got to try a variety of techniques! The students did such a great job that the instructor was able to take them further than usual in the lesson.

Thanks to the instructors’ encouragement, everyone pushed themselves and learned with even more enthusiasm.

To top it all off, we were treated to a Poomsae demonstration by Angela, who holds a black belt in Taekwondo!

We wrapped up the session with a fantastic group photo. It was a fun and energizing experience where we sweated together while strengthening both body and mind through Taekwondo.

Many students showed real interest and followed along enthusiastically, making the cultural activity even more meaningful.
We’re already looking forward to the next one! 😊

안녕하세요! 9월 첫째 주 금요일 태권도장에서 문화 체험을 진행했어요. 태권도는 몸과 마음을 수련하는 한국의 전통 무술이에요. 태권도장에 도착해서 국기에 대한 경례를 한 후에 간단히 몸을 풀었어요. 본격적인 태권도 수업을 시작하니 학생들의 눈빛이 달라지네요!

기본적인 차렷 자세와 쉬어 자세를 배워 보았어요. 그리고 주먹 쥐는 방법과 주먹 지르기 자세를 배웠어요!

앞차기부터 옆차기와 내려차기, 그리고 돌려차기까지 다양한 발차기를 배웠어요!
학생들이 정말 잘해서 사범님께서 진도를 특별히 많이 나가셨다고 해요.

사범님들의 칭찬 덕분에 힘을 내서 더욱 열심히 태권도를 배울 수 있었어요!

마지막으로 태권도 유단자인 안겔라 씨 덕분에 품새 시범까지 볼 수 있었답니다!

마지막으로 멋진 단체사진을 찍으며 태권도 시간을 마무리했어요.
함께 땀방울을 흘리며 몸과 마음을 건강하게 만드는 태권도 체험 시간이었답니다!

많은 친구들이 태권도에 흥미를 가지고 잘 따라와 주어서 더욱 풍성한 문화 체험이었어요.

Oryukdo Skywalk – 오륙도 스카이워크

Hello everyone! We went to the Oryukdo Skywalk in Busan! It’s a famous spot where you can see the beautiful ocean and feel like you’re walking in the sky. The weather wasn’t perfect, but the view was absolutely stunning!

The sea was so clear and the colors were amazing. Of course, the students took lots of photos—it was definitely a photo zone moment! 📸 We walked across the Skywalk, and since the floor is made of glass, we could see the ocean right beneath our feet.

It was a little scary, but such a cool and unforgettable experience. After the Skywalk, we also took a walk along the nearby trails. There was even a pond where we spotted some birds.

It was a wonderful day—enjoying the scenery, taking pictures, and strolling along the beautiful paths. 🌊✨

안녕하세요!

부산 ‘오륙도 스카이워크’에 다녀 왔어요. ‘오륙도 스카이워크’는 예쁜 바다를 볼 수 있고, 하늘을 걸을 수 있는 유명한 장소예요!

날씨가 조금 안 좋았지만 풍경이 정말 아름다웠어요! 바다가 깨끗하고 색이 예뻐요. 학생들이 사진을 찍었어요! 아마 포토존이에요. 스카이워크를 걸어요! 바닥이 투명해서 아래 바다를 볼 수 있었어요. 정말 무서웠지만 신기한 경험이었어요. 스카이워크에서 사진을 찍었어요!

스카이워크를 걷고 근처의 산책로에서 산책했어요.

연못이 있었는데 새를 만났어요! 예쁜 풍경도 보고 예쁜 길에서 산책도 한 좋은 시간이었어요.

HiKR Ground – 하이커그라운드

We visited HiKR Ground in Euljiro, a cultural space opened by the Korea Tourism Organization to showcase K-Culture. It’s a place where you can experience everything from K-pop music and exhibitions to immersive media art.

From the 1st to the 4th floor, each level features a different theme with plenty to see and do, while the 5th floor has a terrace and a donut café where you can relax.

After passing through a huge media wall on the 1st floor, we headed upstairs to explore more. Each floor was designed with unique concepts to introduce different aspects of Korea.

On the 2nd floor, we found the K-POP Ground, where you can create your own K-pop music video using XR Live Studio, as well as themed rooms styled like a laundromat, subway station, and convenience store. Visitors could pick their favorite songs, choose a stage backdrop, and even dance like real K-pop idols—their performance instantly appeared on the big screen in front of them!

Another floor featured activities like Korea’s famous mukbang (eating show) streaming, karaoke, an unmanned convenience store, and even a skateboarding experience. Unsurprisingly, karaoke was the most popular spot—people were lining up to show off their singing skills! I also tried the mukbang streaming experience myself, and it was so much fun.

There were even photo booths that worked like sticker machines, instantly transforming your pictures into fun, magazine-style K-star snapshots. Of course, we wrapped up our visit with a group photo—everyone said the experience was way more exciting than they had expected!

우리는 을지로에 있는 하이커 그라운드 (HiKR Ground)에 다녀왔어요. 한국 관광공사에서 K-Culture 에 대해 알리기 위해 개관한 곳으로 K-pop음악과 전시, 미디어 아트 등을 볼 수 있는 곳 이랍니다.

1층부터 4층까지 각 다른 테마별로 볼거리 즐길거리가 준비되어 있고 5층에는 쉴 수 있는 테라스와 도너츠 카페가 있었어요. 1층의 이런 미디어 월(wall)을 지나면 2층으로 가는 계단이 나와요. 각 층마다 다양한 테마로 한국을 알리고 있었습니다.

2층으로 가니 XR 라이브 스튜디오를 활용하여 K-POP 뮤직비디오를 직접 만들 수 있는 K-POP 그라운드와 형형색색의 다양한 테마 방 (코인 세탁소, 지하철, 편의점 체험하기 등)들이 맞이해주고 있었고, 많은 사람들이 본인의 취향에 맞게 다양하게 즐기고 있었어요.

이렇게 각 테마 방마다 듣고 싶은 노래를 선곡하여 플레이도 가능하고, 무대 배경까지 선택하여 직접 무대에 올라 k-Pop 아이돌처럼 춤도 출 수 있어요. 내가 추는 모습은 앞에 있는 TV에 나온답니다 🙂

한 층에는 한국에서 유명한 ‘먹방’스트리밍, 노래방, 무인 편의점 체험, 스케이트보드 체험 등이 있었는데 그 중 가장 인기가 좋았던 노래방! 저마다 노래 솜씨를 뽐내며 노래방이 계속 차 있었답니다.

저도 한 번 체험해 본 먹방 스트리밍, 너무 재미 있었어요 ^.^

이렇게 스티커 사진기처럼 생긴 기계로 사진을 찍으면 예쁘고 재미있게 꾸며진 화보처럼 만들어줘요. 나도 K 스타!

마지막 아쉬운 마음으로 단체 사진 찰칵! 다들 기대했던 것 보다 훨씬 재미있었다는 피드백을 주었습니다.

TAEKWONDO EXPERIENCE – 태권도 체험

Today, we had the chance to experience Taekwondo, Korea’s most iconic martial art. As soon as the students put on their uniforms and tied their belts, their expressions turned serious and focused. Before diving into the main lesson, we warmed up together.

Step by step, we learned the basics—starting with simple stances, moving on to kicks, and even practicing a short poomsae (form). Everyone worked hard, and though sweat soon appeared, the students stayed focused until the very end. The highlight was definitely practicing the powerful kicks with a loud kihap (shout)—it truly felt like we had become real Taekwondo athletes!

By the end of the class, the students said they’d love to try Taekwondo again the next time they visit Korea. It was a highly rewarding and memorable experience that left everyone smiling.

오늘은 한국의 대표 무예, 태권도를 직접 배워보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 도장에서 도복을 입고 허리띠를 매자 학생들의 표정이 한층 진지해졌는데요, 본격적으로 시작 전에 몸풀기를 진행했습니다.

기본 동작부터 발차기, 그리고 간단한 품새까지 차근차근 배워보며 땀방울이 맺혔지만, 모두 끝까지 열심히 집중했습니다.

특히 힘찬 기합 소리와 함께 발차기를 할 때는 마치 진짜 태권도 선수가 된 것 같았답니다!

수업이 끝나고 학생들은 다음에 한국에 오면 또 태권도를 하고 싶다며 즐거워했던 만족도가 높은 시간이었습니다.

ICE RINK SKATING – 아이스링크 스케이팅

Today, we escaped the summer heat and enjoyed a refreshing visit to the Lotte World Ice Rink with our students. For many, it was their very first time putting on skates, and though their first steps on the ice were a little wobbly, they quickly held hands, found their balance, and started gliding forward little by little.

Even when they fell, the students laughed it off and stood right back up, showing great energy and enthusiasm 🙂. Some were especially amazed at the idea of ice skating in the middle of summer, making the experience even more exciting.

Skating together on the cool ice became a unique and memorable summer adventure—one that our students will always remember as part of their time in Korea!

오늘은 한여름에 시원함을 만끽할 수 있는 롯데월드 아이스링크장을 다녀왔습니다. 처음 스케이트화를 신어본 우리들은 어색한 걸음으로 빙판 위에 올랐지만, 곧 서로 손을 잡고 균형을 잡으며 조금씩 앞으로 나아갔답니다.

넘어져도 금세 웃으며 다시 일어나는 모습에 우리들의 열정이 잘 보였답니다 🙂

몇몇 학생은 한여름에 아이스링크를 탈 수 있다는 사실을 신기해하면서 재미있게 즐겼답니다. 시원한 빙판 위에서 함께한 이 경험은 색다른 한국의 여름 추억이 되었답니다!

DYNAMIC MAZE & INSADONG – 다이나믹 메이즈 & 안녕 인사동

Today, we visited Dynamic Maze and Annyeong Insadong, both located in Insadong!

We started at Dynamic Maze, an indoor adventure space where students worked in teams to complete different missions. Running through maze-like passages, solving physical puzzles, and tackling challenges together had everyone laughing and moving nonstop. The lively teamwork and energy made the whole experience even more exciting. 🙂

Afterwards, we headed to Annyeong Insadong, a cultural complex that blends tradition with modern flair. Students explored freely, browsing through unique shops and exhibitions. Many stopped to take photos against the charming interiors and creative displays. Wandering through the indoor plaza, we discovered Korean-style goods, while the art exhibition spaces encouraged students to get up close and observe the details of each piece—an impressive sight to see.

From adventure and culture to shopping and art, our time in Insadong was full of fun and discovery. It was truly an enjoyable day filled with unforgettable experiences!

오늘은 인사동에 위치한 다이나믹 메이즈 체험과 안녕 인사동에 방문했습니다! 먼저 실내 어드벤처 공간인 다이나믹 메이즈에서 팀별로 미션을 해결하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.
미로처럼 연결된 공간을 통과하고, 몸을 써서 퍼즐을 푸는 활동으로 모두가 웃고 뛰어다녔답니다. 친구들과 즐기는 모습이 활기찼습니다 🙂

다이나믹 메이즈를 체험한 이후 안녕 인사동으로 이동해 복합문화공간을 자유롭게 둘러보았습니다.

전통과 현대가 어우러진 다양한 상점과 전시 공간이 이어져 있었고, 건물 곳곳의 아기자기한 인테리어와 전시물 앞에서 사진을 찍는 학생들이 많았습니다.

실내 광장을 오가며 한국적인 소품들을 구경하고, 예술 작품이 전시된 공간에서는 작품 가까이 다가가 세세하게 살펴보는 모습이 인상적이었습니다!

인사동에서 즐거운 체험과 구경, 쇼핑까지 많은 것을 할 수 있어 즐거웠던 활동이었습니다.

NATIONAL FOLK MUSEUM OF KOREA – 국립 민속 박물관

We visited the National Folk Museum of Korea, a place where you can get a full view of Korea’s traditional lifestyle and history.

Right from the entrance, the students were fascinated by the displays of traditional clothing, everyday tools, and miniature models of old Korean houses. In front of the exhibits showcasing Korean daily life, seasonal customs, and traditional rituals, they asked lots of questions about how the items were used, showing genuine curiosity and excitement.

In another section, students had the chance to see and even touch a traditional hanok house. It felt as if we had stepped back in time, experiencing a glimpse of the past firsthand.

Through this visit, the students were able to gain a vivid understanding of Korean life and culture—something they had only seen in books or photos before. They also learned more about the history and development of Korean culture, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. 🙂

한국의 전통 생활문화와 한국의 역사를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 국립민속박물관을 방문했습니다. 전시관에 들어서자마자 학생들은 다양한 전통 의상, 생활 도구, 옛날 집 모형 등에 큰 관심을 보였습니다.

특히 한국인의 일상과 절기, 의례를 표현한 전시물 앞에서는 물건의 쓰임에 대한 질문도 하면서 신기해하는 모습이었습니다.

다른 전시 구역에서는 한옥 건물을 직접 보고 만져볼 수 있었는데, 마치 옛 시대로 들어간 듯한 경험이었답니다!

이번 견학을 통해 학생들은 책이나 사진으로만 보던 한국의 생활 문화를 더욱 생생하게 이해할 수 있었고, 한류의 역사와 성장과 같은 문화적인 지식도 알 수 있어 즐겁고, 유익한 시간이 되었습니다 🙂

KBS STATION TOUR – KBS 방송국 견학

We had the exciting opportunity to tour KBS Broadcasting Station!

For those who enjoy Korean dramas and variety shows, it was truly a thrilling experience. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were greeted by posters from well-known dramas and the friendly KBS characters. Spotting familiar faces on the posters, everyone quickly pulled out their phones to take photos, smiling with excitement.

During the tour, we even got to try out AR technology and chroma key filming. Reading the news in front of a virtual backdrop and watching the special effects appear on the screen brought lots of laughter and amazement. There was also a chance to practice dubbing scenes from KBS animations and dramas, which turned out to be a highlight for many.

Walking through the exhibits of old cameras, microphones, and program archives gave us a glimpse into the history of broadcasting and how much it has evolved. Seeing, touching, and directly experiencing the production process made everything feel even more vivid and real.

By the end of the day, everyone came away with a deeper appreciation for Korean broadcasting culture. It was both an enjoyable and educational visit—one that showed how the TV moments we watch every day are actually created behind the scenes!

KBS 방송국을 견학하고 왔습니다!
평소 한국 드라마와 예능 프로그램에 관심이 많았던 우리들에게는 정말 설레는 시간이었습니다.먼저 방송국 로비에 들어서자 다양한 드라마 포스터와 KBS 캐릭터들이 반겨주었습니다. 익숙한 얼굴을 발견한 학생들은 사진을 찍느라 바빴고, 반가워하는 모습을 보였답니다!
