용산에 있는 전쟁기념관에 다녀왔어요. 선사시대부터 근현대까지 한국의 모든 전쟁을 한 눈에 볼 수 있게 전시되어 있는 전쟁기념관.
먼저 도착하자마자 ‘형제의 상’이 우리를 반겨주네요. 도착해서 바로 옥외전시장으로 향했어요. 옥외전시장에는 전시 때 실제로 사용했던 군사 장비들을 볼 수 있어요. 실제 전쟁에서 활약했던 배에 올라가 살펴보고, 그 곳에서 전사한 군인들을 생각하는 침묵의 시간도 가졌습니다.
지금의 한국이 존재 할 수 있게 해주신 전사자분들께 감사하며 전사자 명비들을 지나 기념관 안으로 들어가 6.25전시관의 안내 해설자 분의 설명을 들으며 이동했어요.
각 전시관마다 설명이 한국어, 영어, 중국어, 일본어로 되어 있어 여러 나라에서 온 방문객들이 기념관에 대한 이해가 보다 쉬웠을 거라는 생각이 들었어요.
기념관이 넓어 다 둘러보지 못해 아쉬웠던 학생들은 개인시간을 내어 더 둘러보기도 했답니다.
기념관은 크게 야외전시장, 호국추모실, 전쟁역사실, 6.25전쟁실Ⅰ/Ⅱ/Ⅲ, 기증실 등으로 나누어져 있으며 한국에서 발생한 전쟁들의 역사를 한눈에 다 볼 수 있었고 전쟁의 아픔과 상실, 조국을 위해 목숨을 바친 영웅들에 대한 감사의 마음을 느낄 수 있는 소중한 시간이었습니다. 언젠가 또 방문할 기회가 된다면 꼭 다시 한 번 가고 싶은 곳이었습니다. 마지막으로 전쟁 영웅분들께 감사드리며 글을 마칩니다.
After a quick lesson in the classroom where we watched the music video and learned the lyrics of today’s song, we headed straight to the dance studio!
음악에 맞춰 온 몸의 관절과 근육을 부드럽게 풀어 줬어요.
춤 동작이 격렬하니까 준비 운동은 필수겠죠?!!
We started by gently loosening up all the joints and muscles in our bodies to the music. Since the choreography is pretty intense, warm-up is an absolute must, right?!!
본격적인 춤 동작에 들어가니 학생들의 표정이 매우 밝아졌어요. 오랜만에 친구들과 춤을 같이 추니 많이 신난 모습이에요.
As soon as we jumped into the actual dance moves, the students’ faces lit up instantly. Dancing together with friends after such a long time – everyone was totally buzzing with excitement!
본격적으로 중요 파트를 열심히 연습했어요. 연습이 반복되면서 점점 더 어려운 동작도 익숙해졌어요.
We seriously practiced the key parts over and over, and with each repetition, even the trickier moves started feeling natural.
마지막은 멋진 포즈로 마무리를 했네요!!

안녕하세요? 오늘은 한국에서 일을 하고 싶어하는 학생들에게 도움을 주기 위해 잡 클럽(Job Club)이 진행되었습니다. 워킹 홀리데이 등 한국에서 일을 찾고 있는 학생들에게 취업 과정에 필요한 여러 과업들을 한국어로 연습하고 준비해 볼 수 있는 뜻 깊은 시간이었어요.
오늘 수업에는 세 명의 학생이 참석했습니다. 한국에서 스페인어 강사로, 온라인 마케터로, 그리고 또 다른 학생은 엔터테인먼트 분야에 취업을 하고 싶다고 했어요. 1교시에는 잡코리아, 사람인, 알바몬 등 취업 포털사이트에 직접 가입해보고 이력서 업로드 하는 방법을 배웠습니다. 또한 학생들이 일하고 싶은 분야를 직접 검색해봄으로써 실제로 지원 가능한 채용 공고도 찾아보았습니다.
2교시에는 한국어로 직접 이력서와 자기소개서를 써보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 자신의 강점과 약점, 과거의 경험과 경력을 어떻게 하면 간결하면서도 임팩트 있게 잘 쓸 수 있을지 같이 의논도 하고 면접 시 질문할 만한 예상 질문들에 대해 직접 대답해보는 연습도 해보았습니다. 한국어로 이력서와 자기소개서를 작정하고 면접 준비를 하는 것이 처음이어서 조금 어렵겠지만 잡클럽과 함께 차근차근 준비한다면 꼭 취업에 성공할 수 있을 거에요!
한국에서 취업을 원하는 학생들에게 조금이라도 도움이 되길 바라면서 잡 클럽(Job Club)은 또 다음 달에도 기다리고 있겠습니다~!
Today, Job Club session was held to support students who wish to start their careers in Korea.
It was a meaningful time for those who find jobs to practice and prepare for the job application process in Korean.
Today, three students joined the Job Club. One student wants to be a Spanish teacher, the other an on-line marketer and another student wants to work in the entertainment field. It turned out to be a very productive and personalized session.
During the first part, the students learned how to sign up for major Korean job portal sites like JobKorea, Saramin, and Albamon, and how to upload a resume. The students also explored various job postings in their desired field to see real opportunities available in the market.
In the second part, we focused on writing resumes and cover letters in Korean. Together, we discussed how to express strengths, weaknesses, and past experiences clearly and effectively. The students also practiced answering potential interview questions in Korean.
It may feel a bit challenging at first to prepare resumes, cover letters, and interviews in Korean—but with steady effort through the Job Club, success in getting a job in Korea will definitely come!
Our Job Club will continue next month, too.
We hope it keeps helping students take one step closer to their dreams of working in Korea!
안녕하세요? 이번 주 금요일 문화체험수업으로 서울의 상징 중 하나인 N 서울타워에 다녀왔어요!
남산 순환버스를 타고 서울타워 정류장에 내려서 타워가 있는 꼭대기까지 걸어가는 모습이에요! 날씨가 너무나 좋았고, 마침 단풍이 들기 시작한 때라 아름다운 가을 정취를 느낄 수 있었어요!
열심히 비탈을 오르며 깨알 운동을 하는 우리 학생들! 날씨가 너무 좋았고 공기가 맑아서 딱히 힘들어하지 않았어요!! 오히려 상쾌한 기분이 물씬 들었답니다!! ^^
비탈을 다 오른 후 나온 남산 전망대에서 단체 사진을 찍어보았어요!! 다들 눈앞에 펼쳐진 아름다운 서울의 풍경을 보다가 즐거운 추억의 한 순간을 사진으로 남겼답니다!
전망대에는 정말로 많은 관광객 분들이 계셨어요! 다들 서울의 가을을 즐기고 있었답니다!! 남산을 오르며 조깅하는 분들도 많이 보였어요!!
이어서 본격적으로 자물쇠를 다는 활동을 해 보았습니다! 각자의 소망을 적은 자물쇠를 난간에 매달면서 우리 학생들은 어떤 생각을 하였을까요?? 저마다의 뜻이 담긴 자물쇠들을 바라보며 이곳을 다녀간 많은 사람들이 어떠한 생각을 했을지 생각해보기도 하였습니다.

이후 펼쳐진 사물놀이 공연과 전통 무예 공연을 보며 잠시 휴식시간을 가졌습니다!! 학원에서 공부하느라고 수고한 학생들이 잠시 바람을 쐬며 머리를 식히고, 스트레스를 해소할 수 있는 시간이었습니다!!

Hello! This Friday, we went on a cultural experience class to N Seoul Tower, one of the symbols of Seoul!
We took the Namsan circular bus and got off at the Seoul Tower stop, then walked up to the top where the tower stands! The weather was perfect, and since the autumn leaves had just started to change their colors, we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful fall scenery!
Our students got a nice little workout walking up the steep hill! The weather was so nice and the air was so fresh that they didn’t really feel tired at all — instead, they felt completely refreshed!
After walking up the hill, we took a group photo at the Namsan observatory! Everyone was enjoying the beautiful view of Seoul spread out before us, and we captured that joyful moment as a wonderful memory in a photo!
There were so many tourists at the observatory! Everyone was enjoying the autumn season in Seoul!! We also saw quite a few people jogging up Namsan!
Next, we moved on to the main activity — hanging our own love locks! As the students hung their locks on the railing with their wishes written on them, I wondered what thoughts were going through their minds. Looking at all the locks filled with different meanings, we also reflected on what the many people who had visited this place before us might have been thinking.

After that, we enjoyed a short break while watching a samulnori (playing traditional Korean percussion instruments) performance and a traditional martial arts show!! It was a great chance for the students, who had been studying hard at the school, to relax, get some fresh air, and relieve their stress!
Here are the last photos we took before leaving Seoul Tower!! I hope the students will never forget these moments of fun and togetherness~~ Lexis Korea forever!! It was such an enjoyable way to end the last day of October!!

Hello! This Friday, we went to N Seoul Tower for our cultural experience class. We enjoyed the colorful autumn scenery of Namsan and spent some time hanging love locks while looking at the view of Seoul.
We took the Namsan circular bus and walked up to the tower. Even though the path was quite steep, none of them seemed tired at all.
We took a group photo in front of N Seoul Tower. Then, we hung locks with our names and wishes. We also took pictures with the locks and the beautiful view of Seoul. Doesn’t it warm your heart to see friends’ happy faces?
At 3 p.m., there was a traditional cultural performance, featuring samulnori (a traditional percussion performance) and traditional martial arts. Everyone really enjoyed watching the show, and we took some photos afterward as well.
We were able to experience the autumn of both the city and nature at N Seoul Tower. It was truly a wonderful time. You should also visit N Seoul Tower before autumn ends!
