HiKR Ground – 하이커 그라운드

안녕하세요. 오늘은 을지로입구역 근처에 있는 HiKR Ground (하이커그라운드)에 다녀왔어요. 

하이커 그라운드는 K-POP 체험과 미디어 아트 관람을 동시에 할 수 있는 한국 관광 홍보관으로.

‘하이커 그라운드’의 이름에는 한국(KR)이 반가운 인사(Hi)를 건네고 글로벌 여행자들의 놀이터(Playground)가 되겠다는 뜻이 담겨있다고 해요. 

건물에 들어서자 1층의 대형 스크린 벽인 ‘하이커 월’이 우리를 반겨 주었어요. 화면에는 한국 문화 관광을 소재로 다양한 영상들이 나와 방문객들의 시선을 한번에 사로잡았어요. 하이커 월 앞에서 다 같이 사진 한 번 찰칵!

멋지게 꾸며진 계단을 통해 바로 2층으로 올라갔어요. 2층에는 라이브 스튜디오와 뮤직비디오 무대장치를 체험하며 직접 한류 콘텐츠의 주인공이 되어 볼 수 있는 ‘K-팝 그라운드’가 준비되어 있어요.

오늘은 나도 K-pop 아이돌! 그동안 연습하며 즐기던 K-pop 댄스를 마음껏 뽐내며 뮤직비디오의 주인공이 되어 보았답니다.

3층은 K-아트 기획 전시관인 ‘하이커 아트리움’. 직접 스케이트 보드를 타는 것 같은 경험을 할 수 있는 영상과 장비로 즐기고, 한국 사람들의 문화에서 빠질 수 없는 노래방도 있어 다 같이 노래를 부르며 재미 있는 시간을 즐겼답니다.

또한 유투버나 틱톡커같은 1인 영상 크리에이터도 경험해 보고, 스티커 사진을 찍어 꾸며보면서 웃음이 끊기지 않았어요.

4층은 한국의 대표 관광지를 오감으로 느낄 수 있는 ‘하이커 케이브’와 다양한 지역 축제를 만나볼 수 있는 ‘축제체험관’이 있어, 서울을 비롯한 다른 도시의 관광지 소개도 보고 대표 관광지 모습을 스탬프로 찍어 기념품으로 가져갈 수도 있어요.

5층은 청계천을 조망할 수 있는 ‘하이커 라운지’와 ‘관광안내센터’가 있어 테라스에 나가 경치를 구경하며 카페에서 잠시 휴식을 취하기도 했어요.

무더운 여름, 여러분도 이 곳에 와서 한국과 한국 문화를 경험하고 기념품도 가져가 추억을 만들어 보는 것이 어떨까요?

Hello! Today, we visited HiKR Ground, located near Euljiro 1-ga Station.

HiKR Ground is a Korean tourism promotional hall where you can experience K-POP and enjoy media art at the same time. The name “HiKR Ground” combines a welcoming greeting (Hi) to Korea (KR) with the concept of a playground for global travelers.

As soon as we stepped into the building, we were greeted by the “HiKR Wall,” a massive media screen on the first floor. It immediately caught everyone’s attention with various videos showcasing Korean culture and tourism. We couldn’t resist snapping a group photo right in front of it!

– 2nd Floor: K-POP Ground

We headed straight up to the second floor via a beautifully designed staircase. This floor features “K-POP Ground,” where you can become the star of your own Hallyu content by experiencing live studios and music video stages.

Today, I was a K-pop idol! We showed off the K-pop dances we’ve been practicing and truly felt like the main characters of a music video.

– 3rd Floor: HiKR Atrium

The third floor is “HiKR Atrium,” a special exhibition hall for K-art. We enjoyed videos and equipment that made us feel like we were actually skateboarding. There was also a karaoke booth—an essential part of Korean culture—where we all sang along and had a blast. We even got to experience life as a one-person creator (like a YouTuber or TikToker) and decorated photo booth stickers, which kept us laughing the whole time.

– 4th Floor: HiKR Cave & Festival Zone

On the fourth floor, you’ll find “HiKR Cave,” where you can experience Korea’s hidden gems through all five senses, and the “Festival Zone,” which introduces various regional festivals. We looked through travel guides for Seoul and other cities, and even collected stamps of Korea’s major attractions to take home as souvenirs.

– 5th Floor: HiKR Lounge & Tourist Information Center

The fifth floor houses the “HiKR Lounge” and a “Tourist Information Center.” We stepped out onto the terrace to enjoy the scenic view of Cheonggyecheon Stream and took a relaxing break at the cafe.

With the summer heat in full swing, why not visit HiKR Ground to experience Korea and its vibrant culture, grab some souvenirs, and make unforgettable memories?

HiKR Ground – 하이커 그라운드

안녕하세요! 오늘은 청계천 근처에 있는 하이커 그라운드에 다녀왔어요.

아름다운 청계천을 보면서 건너 가면 하이커 그라운드에 도착해요!

1층에서는 대형 미디어 월을 통해 다채로운 이미지를 볼 수 있어요. 2층은 K-pop Ground로 한국 가수들처럼 뮤직비디오를 찍어볼 수도 있어요. 3층은 HiKR Artrium이에요. 한국의 대표 아티스트들의 전시들을 볼 수 있어요! 4층에서는 한국의 다양한 지역들을 만나볼 수 있어요. 마지막 5층은 안내 센터가 있고, 청계천을 보면서 쉴 수 있어요.

처음에 우리는 한국의 가수들처럼 뮤직비디오를 찍어봤어요. 화면에 나오는 나의 모습을 보며 멋있는 춤도 췄어요!

그 다음으로 미디어 월에 있는 뒷배경화면을 바꿔서 달에 가보기도 하고, 우주에 가보기도 했어요! 🙂

하이커 그라운드에는 사진을 찍을 수 있는 다양한 소품들도 있어서 멋진 선글라스, 한국의 전통 갓을 쓰고 사진을 많이 찍었어요.

한국 편의점이랑 비슷하게 꾸며놓은 장소도 있었어요~! 손님과 점원이 되어보는 시간이었습니다~ 🙂

DJ가 되어볼 수 있는 DJ 부스도 있어서 멋진 포즈를 취해봤어요! 어떤가요? 🙂

그 다음 우리는 윗층으로 올라가서 한국 작가들의 멋진 서예 작품들을 감상했어요.

직접 연필로 한국어를 쓸 수 있는 곳이 있어서 다같이 한국어도 써 봤어요!

이렇게 하이커 그라운드에서 다양하고 재미있는 체험들을 하고 마지막으로 청계천을 배경으로 사진도 찍었습니다~ 🙂 정말 재미있었어요!

Hello! Today, We visited HiKR Ground, which is located near Cheonggyecheon. If you cross while enjoying the beautiful Cheonggyecheon, you will arrive at HiKR Ground!

On the first floor, you can enjoy a variety of colorful images on a huge media wall.
The second floor is called K-pop Ground, where you can film your own music video like K-pop stars.
The third floor is HiKR Artrium, where you can see exhibitions by some of Korean artists.
On the fourth floor, you can explore different regions of Korea.
Finally, on the fifth floor, there is an information center where you can relax while enjoying the view of Cheonggyecheon.

First, we tried filming a music video like Korean singers. Watching myself on the screen, I even showed off some cool dance moves!

Next, we changed the background on the media wall and experienced going to the moon and even outer space! 🙂

At HiKR Ground, there were many fun props for taking pictures, so I wore stylish sunglasses and a traditional Korean hat and took lots of photos. There was also a space decorated like a Korean convenience store, so we got to act as customers and store clerks. It was a fun experience~ 🙂

There was also a DJ booth where we could pretend to be DJs, so We made some cool poses! What do you think? 🙂

After that, we went upstairs and admired beautiful calligraphy works by Korean artists. There was also a place where we could write Korean with pencils, so we all tried writing Korean together.

After enjoying all these fun and diverse experiences at HiKR Ground, we took some photos with Cheonggyecheon in the background. It was such a fun and memorable time!

Huinyeoul Culture Village – 흰여울문화마을

오늘 흰여울문화마을에 갔어요. 흰여울문화마을은 한국 부산의 영도에 있어요. 이곳에는 다양한 카페와 체험장, 기념품 가게가 있고, 바다 바로 옆에 있어서 멋진 풍경을 볼 수도 있어요.

흰여울문화마을은 한국 전쟁 시기에 피난민들이 내려와 정착한 해안 마을이에요. 바다를 따라 좁은 영역에 만든 마을이 세월이 지나며 독특한 감성을 지닌 관광지로 탈바꿈했어요. 지금은 예술가들이 함께 들어와서 벽화나 작품을 만들면서, 예쁜 문화마을로 바뀌었어요. 그래서 걷다 보면 곳곳에서 작은 갤러리 같은 분위기를 느낄 수 있어요. 비슷한 곳으로 감천문화마을이 있는데, 감천문화마을은 산을 따라 지은 피난민의 마을이라는 차이가 있어요.

멋진 바다를 보며 길을 걸어요. 유명한 관광지여서 우리 말고도 외국인이 아주 많았어요. 친구들과 여기 올 때는 서로 떨어지지 않게 조심해야 하겠더라고요.

중간중간 옛 가옥을 개조해 만든 작은 카페들이 있어요. 관광지여서 값은 조금 나가지만 맛있는 음료와 음식을 바다를 보면서 먹을 수 있으니 한 번쯤 들러 보는 것도 나쁘지 않겠어요.

인생네컷 같은 포토시그니처샵도 있어요. 여기서 친구들과 함께 소품을 장착하고 멋진 사진을 남길 수도 있습니다.

아쉽게도 피아노 계단을 통해 갈 수 있는 해안 산책로는 공사 중이어서 접근할 수 없었어요. 여기는 다음에 공사가 완료되면 다시 와 보면 좋을 것 같아요.

중간에 비도 오고 날씨가 조금 아쉬웠지만 그래도 부산의 개성인 바다를 품은 마을을 둘러볼 수 있어서 좋은 시간이었어요.

Today, we visited Huinnyeoul Culture Village. It is located in Yeongdo, a district of Busan. The village has a variety of cafés, activity spaces, and souvenir shops. Since it is located right next to the sea, visitors can also enjoy beautiful coastal scenery.

Huinnyeoul Culture Village is a seaside village where refugees settled during the Korean War. Over time, the village, which was built along a narrow stretch of coastline, transformed into a tourist destination with a unique atmosphere. Today, artists have moved into the area and created murals and artworks, turning it into a charming cultural village. As you walk through the village, you can often feel as if you are exploring a series of small art galleries. A similar place is Gamcheon Culture Village, but the difference is that Gamcheon was built along a mountainside rather than a coastline.

We walked along the paths while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. Since it is a famous tourist destination, there were many foreign visitors besides us. We realized that when visiting with friends, it is important to stay together and be careful not to get separated.

Along the way, there are small cafés that were created by renovating old houses. Because it is a tourist area, the prices are a little high, but being able to enjoy delicious food and drinks while looking out at the sea makes stopping by one of them worthwhile.

There is also a photo booth shop similar to Photo Signature. There, we can put on various props and take memorable photos together.

Unfortunately, the coastal walking trail that can be reached through the Piano Stairs was under construction, so we could not access it. We think it would be nice to visit again after the construction is completed.

Although it rained at times and the weather was not ideal, we still had a great time because we were able to see a village that embraces the sea, one of Busan’s most distinctive features.

Handwriting Contest -손글씨 대회

안녕하세요? 이번에 교보 문고에서 손글씨 대회를 개최한다고 합니다. 그래서 오늘은 대회 참가를 목표로 손글씨 쓰기 활동을 진행해 보았습니다.

이 대회의 시상 내역은 다음과 같습니다.

으뜸상 (10명): 상금 100만 원 + 부상, 버금상 (20명): 상금 20만 원 + 부상, 심사위원상: 상금 10만 원 + 부상 , 입선 (1,000명): 부상, 단체상: 상금 50만 원 + 부상

특히 으뜸상 수상자 중 1명에게는 상금뿐만 아니라 본인의 손글씨를 바탕으로 한 폰트 제작의 기회도 주어진다고 합니다.

매력적인 혜택 덕분에 학생들도 높은 관심과 의욕을 보였습니다.

이 대회는 단순히 글씨체를 겨루는 것이 아니라 책 속 인상 깊은 문장을 손글씨로 써서 응모하는 대회입니다. 그래서 학생들은 각자 마음에 드는 문장을 선택한 뒤 연습장에 여러 번 써 보며 글씨를 다듬었습니다. 다양한 글씨체를 시도해 보기도 하고, 문장의 의미를 되새기며 정성껏 연습했습니다.

충분히 연습한 후에는 실제 참가 용지에 글을 옮겨 적었습니다. 모두가 집중한 가운데 한 글자 한 글자를 신중하게 써 내려갔습니다. 글자를 잘못 쓰면 처음부터 다시 작성해야 했기 때문에 긴장감도 있었습니다.

쓰다가 글자가 틀리면 다시 쓰기도 했습니다. 특히 마지막 부분에서 실수를 발견했을 때는 주변에서도 함께 아쉬워했지만, 대충 마무리하기보다 처음부터 다시 쓰겠다는 열의를보여 주었습니다.

글자가 틀릴까 봐 조마조마하기도 하고 글씨가 마음에 들지 않을 봐 걱정하기도 했지만 모두 한 자 한 자 정성스럽게 써 내려갔습니다. 또한 단순히 글씨를 쓰는 활동에 그치지 않고, 필사를 통해 문장의 의미를 깊이 생각해 보는 시간도 가질 수 있었습니다.

쓰는 과정은 힘들었지만 다 완성했을 때는 모두의 얼굴에 뿌듯함이 가득했습니다.

활동을 마친 후 손글씨로 한글을 써 본 소감을 나누었는데, 대부분의 학생들이 재미있었고 좋은 경험이었다고 이야기했습니다.

손으로 직접 글을 쓰는 일이 점점 줄어드는 시대이지만, 이번 활동을 통해 학생들은 손글씨의 매력과 책 속 문장의 가치를 다시 한번 느낄 수 있었다고 생각합니다.

Kyobo Book Centre is hosting a handwriting contest this year, so today we held a handwriting activity to prepare for the competition.

The prizes for the contest are quite impressive:

  • Grand Prize (10 winners): 1,000,000 KRW and additional prizes
  • Excellence Prize (20 winners): 200,000 KRW and additional prizes
  • Judges’ Award: 100,000 KRW and additional prizes
  • Honorable Mention (1,000 winners): additional prizes
  • Group Award: 500,000 KRW and additional prizes

What makes the contest even more special is that one of the Grand Prize winners will have the opportunity to have a digital font created based on their own handwriting.

Because of these exciting rewards, the students showed great enthusiasm and interest in the activity.

This contest is not simply about having beautiful handwriting. Participants choose a meaningful quote or passage from a book and submit it in their own handwriting. To prepare, the students selected their favorite passages and practiced writing them several times. They experimented with different handwriting styles and carefully reflected on the meaning of the words as they practiced.

After enough practice, they began writing on the official submission sheets. Everyone focused intently and wrote each character with great care. Since any mistake meant starting over from the beginning, there was a sense of tension throughout the activity.

Whenever a student made an error, they patiently started again. It was especially disappointing when a mistake was discovered near the end of the passage. However, rather than rushing through or settling for less, the students showed determination and chose to rewrite their work from the beginning.

Some students worried about making mistakes, while others were concerned that their handwriting might not look good enough. Nevertheless, they carefully wrote each character with sincerity and dedication. Beyond practicing handwriting, the activity also gave them an opportunity to think more deeply about the meaning of the passages they had chosen.

Although the process was challenging, everyone felt a great sense of accomplishment once their work was completed. Afterward, the students shared their thoughts about writing Korean by hand. Most said that the activity was enjoyable and that it had been a valuable experience.

In an age when writing by hand is becoming less common, this activity allowed students to rediscover the beauty of handwriting and appreciate the value of meaningful words from books.

HAND WRITING – 손글씨 쓰기

안녕하세요! 오늘은 아주 특별하고 의미 있는 액티비티를 진행했어요. 원래는 한국의 전통을 느껴보는 ‘서예 수업’을 하려고 준비했었는데요, 마침 눈 번쩍 뜨이는 멋진 대회가 열리고 있더라고요. 바로 ‘교보문고 손글씨 대회’입니다!

디지털 세상에서 손글씨가 가진 힘
이 대회는 2015년부터 시작된 ‘손글씨 문화확산 캠페인’의 일환이라고 해요. 온통 스마트폰과 키보드만 두드리는 디지털 시대에, 잊혀가는 손글씨의 정취와 아날로그적 감성을 되살리자는 멋진 취지를 담고 있죠.

심사위원분들이 글씨를 볼 때 세 가지 원칙을 기준으로 심사하신대요.
1. 시각적으로 아름다운가?
2. 쉽게 읽을 수 있는가?
3. 글쓴이의 개성이 뚜렷한가?

게다가 상금도 어마어마하지만, 무엇보다 가장 매력적인 혜택은 바로 ‘으뜸상’을 받으면 그 사람의 손글씨가 실제 컴퓨터 폰트(글꼴)로 제작되어 무료 배포된다는 점이었어요! 내가 꾹꾹 눌러쓴 개인의 기록이 디지털 세상에서 영원히 살아남는 특별한 경험을 할 수 있다니, 이보다 더 멋진 동기부여가 있을까요?

우리 학생들도 이 이야기를 듣자마자 눈을 반짝이며 도전 의지를 불태웠답니다.

최애 노래 가사부터 최애 펜까지, 만반의 준비!
학생들은 대회를 위해 미리 자기가 좋아하는 책의 구절을 뽑아오거나, 평소 자주 듣는 좋아하는 한국 노래 가사를 열심히 준비해 왔어요.

수업이 시작되자마자 각자 아껴둔 ‘최애 펜’들을 주섬주섬 꺼내는데, 가방에서 펜이 몇 개씩이나 나오더라고요! 서체도 미리 연습해 보고, 펜 촉의 느낌도 테스트해 보는 모습이 흡사 장인의 모습 같았달까요?

한 학생은 자기 나라에 있는 한국문화원에서도 이 대회가 열려 참여한 적이 있었다며 수줍게 경험을 공유해 주었어요. 당시 참여자가 너무 많아서 아쉽게 상은 못 받았지만, 한국에서 다시 도전하게 되어 감회가 새롭다고 하더라고요. 이번엔 좋은 결과가 있기를 함께 응원해 주었습니다.

좋아하는 노래를 같이 들으며 한 글자 한 글자 정성껏 종이를 채워가다 보니 교실 가득 따뜻한 아날로그 감성이 몽글몽글 피어나는 기분이었습니다.

“상금 받으면 뭐 할 거예요?” 행복한 김치국 한 사발!
열심히 글씨를 쓰는 학생들에게 슬쩍 다가가 물었습니다.
“만약 뽑혀서 상금 받으면 뭐 하고 싶어요?”

돌아온 답변들이 어찌나 귀엽고 다양하던지요.
“오직 저만을 위한 특별한 일을 할 거예요!”
“저는 상 받을 기대는 안 해요. 그냥 이런 시간을 즐기고 있어요.”
“뭘 할지 아직은 잘 모르겠지만… 상상만 해도 기분이 무척 좋네요!”
아직 결과를 모르지만, 상상하는 것만으로도 교실 안이 순식간에 행복한 웃음으로 가득 찼답니다. 역시 행복한 상상은 언제나 옳으니까요!

우리 중 으뜸상이 나오기를 바라며


정성껏 완성한 학생들의 작품은 예쁘게 스캔해서 이메일로 접수할 예정이에요.
삐뚤빼뚤하지만 저마다의 개성과 한국어에 대한 애정이 듬뿍 담긴 글씨들을 보고 있으니 제 마음이 다 뿌듯해집니다. 심사위원분들도 우리 학생들의 이 진심 어린 ‘개성’을 꼭 알아봐 주시겠죠?

우리 학생들 중 누구라도 좋으니 꼭 좋은 소식이 들려왔으면 좋겠습니다. 혹시 알아요? 내년에는 우리 학생의 이름으로 된 손글씨 폰트로 예쁘게 타이핑을 하고 있을지도요!

Today, we had an incredibly special and meaningful activity. Originally, a ‘Seoye (Korean calligraphy) class’ was planned to have a taste of Korean tradition. But then, this fantastic contest just popped up out of nowhere.: the “Kyobo Book Centre Handwriting Contest!”

The Power of Handwriting in a Digital World
This contest is part of the “Handwriting Culture Expansion Campaign,” which started back in 2015. In a digital age where we mostly tap on smartphones and click away on keyboards, the contest aims to revive the forgotten charm and nostalgic analog sentiment of handwriting.

The judges apparently look at three main criteria when evaluating the entries:

  1. Is it visually beautiful?
  2. Is it easy to read?
  3. Does it clearly showcase the writer’s unique personality?

While the prize money is substantial, the most attractive perk is that the winner of the “Grand Prize (Eutteum-sang)” gets their actual handwriting developed into a digital computer font for free public distribution! Isn’t that the ultimate motivation? The idea that your own handwritten records can live on forever in the digital world is just magical.

As soon as the students heard this story, their eyes lit up with determination to take on the challenge.

Ready for Anything: From Favorite Lyrics to the Best Pens
To prepare for the contest, the students had diligently picked out sentences from their favorite books or brought along the lyrics of Korean songs they listen to all the time.

As soon as class started, everyone began rustling through their bags to pull out their treasured “favorite pens”—and some had quite a collection! Watching them practice different writing styles and test out the feel of each pen nib made them look like true artisans.

One student shyly shared that he had actually participated in this same contest before at the Korean Cultural Center in his home country. He mentioned that because there were so many participants, he unfortunately didn’t win a prize back then, but being able to try again here in Korea felt incredibly special. We all cheered him on, hoping for a great result this time around.

As we filled the pages, letter by letter, while listening to their favorite songs together, a warm, cozy analog vibe began to bloom all across the classroom.

“What will you do with the prize money?” Counting Our Chickens!
As the students were focusing on their writing, I quietly walked up to them and asked, “If you get chosen and win the prize money, what do you want to do with it?”

The responses were so cute and diverse:

“I’m going to do something truly special, just for me!”
“I’m not really expecting to win a prize. I’m just enjoying this moment right now.”
“I don’t really know yet… but just imagining it makes me feel so happy!”

We don’t know the results yet, but just imagining the possibilities instantly filled the classroom with happy laughter. After all, a little hopeful daydreaming is always a good idea!

Hoping for a Grand Prize Winner Among Us
We plan to beautifully scan the students’ completed masterpieces and submit them via email. Looking at their writing—a little crooked here and there, but bursting with unique personality and their deep affection for the Korean language—makes my heart swell with pride. I’m sure the judges will recognize the genuine “individuality” tucked into our students’ work, right?

We truly hope we get some good news, no matter which student it comes from. Who knows? Next year, we might find ourselves typing beautifully with a computer font named after one of our very own students!

KPOP DANCE – CORTIS – REDRED

안녕하세요! 😊

지난 금요일에는 CORTIS(코르티스)의 「REDRED」 안무를 배우는 시간을 가졌습니다!

본격적으로 춤을 배우기 전에, 부상을 예방하기 위해 먼저 스트레칭으로 몸을 충분히 풀어주었어요.

준비를 마친 후에는 선생님의 시범을 보며 동작을 하나씩 따라 해 보았습니다.
처음에는 조금 어려운 부분도 있었지만, 단계별로 차근차근 연습하며 안무를 익혀 나갔습니다.

Last Friday, we had the chance to learn the choreography for “REDRED” by CORTIS!

Before starting the dance lesson, we began with some stretching to warm up our bodies and prevent injuries.

[Job Club] 잡클럽

안녕하세요? 오늘은 한국에서 일을 하고 싶어하는 학생들을 위한 잡클럽(Job Club) 수업이 진행되었습니다. 잡클럽은 한국에서 취업하고자 하는 학생들에게 취업 과정에 필요한 여러 과업들을 한국어로 연습하고 준비해 볼 수 있도록 도와주는 수업이에요.

오늘은 두 명의 학생이 참석했는데요, 1교시에는 한국 취업 포탈 사이트인 잡코리아, 사람인, 알바몬 등에 직접 가입해보고 이력서 업로드 하는 방법을 배웠습니다. 또한 학생이 취업하고 싶어하는 레스토랑이나 카페 등 실제로 외국인이 지원 가능한 공고들을 직접 찾아보았습니다.

2교시에는 한국어로 직접 이력서와 자기소개서를 써보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 자신의 강점과 약점, 과거의 경험과 경력을 어떻게 하면 간결하면서도 임팩트 있게 잘 쓸 수 있을지 같이 의논도 하고 면접 시 질문할 만한 예상 질문들에 대해 직접 대답해보는 연습도 해보았습니다. 한국어로 이력서와 자기소개서를 작정하고 면접 준비를 하는 것이 처음이어서 조금 어렵겠지만 잡클럽과 함께 차근차근 준비한다면 꼭 취업에 성공할 수 있을 거에요!

한국에서 취업을 원하는 학생들에게 조금이라도 도움이 되길 바라면서 잡 클럽(Job Club)은 또 다음 달에도 기다리고 있겠습니다~!

Hello! Today, we held a Job Club class for students who want to work in Korea. Job Club is a class where students hoping to work in Korea can practice and prepare the skills they need for the job-seeking process, all in Korean.

We had two students attend today. During the first part, the students learned how to sign up for major Korean job portal sites like JobKorea, Saramin, and Albamon, and how to upload a resume. The students also explored various job postings in their desired field to see real opportunities available in the market.

In the second part, we focused on writing resumes and cover letters in Korean. Together, we discussed how to express strengths, weaknesses, and past experiences clearly and effectively. The students also practiced answering potential interview questions in Korean.

It may feel a bit challenging at first to prepare resumes, cover letters, and interviews in Korean—but with steady effort through the Job Club, success in getting a job in Korea will definitely come!

KIMCHI MUSEUM- 뮤지엄 김치간

안녕하세요! 오늘은 학생들과 함께 뮤지엄 김치간에 다녀왔어요.
이곳에서는 김치의 역사와 문화, 그리고 직접 김치를 만들어 보는 특별한 체험까지 즐길 수 있었어요.

한국을 대표하는 음식 하면 단연 김치가 떠오르죠. 김치를 좋아하는 학생들이 많아서 이번 프로그램에도 많은 학생들이 참여해주었습니다. 입장하자마자 김치의 기원과 보관 방법, 그리고 한국에 존재하는 다양한 김치 종류에 대한 설명을 들을 수 있었는데, 모두 흥미롭게 집중하는 모습이 인상적이었어요.

설명을 마친 뒤에는 체험 공간으로 이동해 직접 김치를 만들어 보았습니다. 배추를 절이고 준비된 재료를 하나씩 넣어 버무리면서, 학생들은 김치가 어떤 재료로 만들어지는지 하나하나 알아가며 큰 재미를 느꼈습니다. 특히 김치를 처음 접하는 학생들은 신기해하며 적극적으로 참여했어요.

비록 재료는 미리 준비된 것이었지만, 직접 손으로 김치를 만들고 맛보는 경험은 훨씬 더 특별했습니다. 모두가 자신이 만든 김치를 자랑하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈고, 한국 문화를 몸소 체험할 수 있어 더욱 의미 있는 하루였답니다.

이번 체험을 통해 학생들은 단순히 음식을 맛보는 것을 넘어, 한국의 전통과 문화를 깊이 이해할 수 있었습니다. 다음에는 또 어떤 체험을 하게 될지 벌써 기대가 되네요!

Hello everyone! Today we visited the Kimchikan Museum with our students. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of kimchi and even try making it ourselves.

Kimchi is one of the most iconic foods of Korea, and many students love it. Because of that, this program attracted a large number of participants. As soon as we entered, we listened to explanations about the origins of kimchi, how it was traditionally stored, and the many different types of kimchi found across Korea.

After the introduction, we moved to the hands-on area to make kimchi. Students who had never tried making it before were excited to discover each ingredient step by step. They learned how cabbage is salted, how seasonings are added, and how everything is mixed together to create the final dish.

Although the ingredients were prepared in advance, the experience of making kimchi with their own hands made it much more meaningful. Everyone proudly tasted their creations and shared their impressions, which made the atmosphere lively and fun.

Through this program, students not only enjoyed delicious food but also gained a deeper understanding of Korean tradition and culture. It was truly a memorable day, and we are already looking forward to the next cultural experience together!

Last week, we went to learn the dance for this song!

Before we started dancing, we did some stretching to warm up.
Then, we followed the teacher and learned the choreography step by step.

Student Night – 스튜던트 나잇

지난 금요일, 매달 마지막 주에 열리는 스튜던트 나잇이 있었습니다.

다같이 렉시스에 모여 식당으로 출발했어요.

한국인 학생들과 외국인 학생들이 함께 모여 즐기는 특별한 시간이에요.

이번 달 메뉴는 삼겹살과 소주, 한국의 대표적인 조합이에요.

식당에서 고기를 구워 먹으며 자연스럽게 대화가 이어졌어요.
웃음과 언어 교환, 새로운 친구들이 가득한 즐거운 분위기였어요.

삼겹살을 처음 먹어보는 학생들에게 고기 먹는 방법을 알려주면서 재미있게 즐겼어요.

스튜던트 나잇은 공부 후 한국 문화를 체험하며 편히 쉬는 좋은 기회랍니다.

Last Friday, we had our monthly Student Night, held on the last week of each month. Everyone gathered at Lexis before heading to the restaurant. It’s always a special time where Korean and international students come together.

This month’s menu was samgyeopsal and soju, one of Korea’s most famous pairings. We grilled pork belly at the restaurant and conversations flowed naturally. The atmosphere was full of laughter, language exchange, and new friendships.

Some students tried samgyeopsal for the first time, so we showed them how to enjoy the meat—it was a fun experience! Student Night is a great chance to relax after studying and experience Korean culture. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and see you at the next Student Night!
