At Lexis Korea, we visited a dance studio! We went there to learn the choreography to NMIXX’s “Blue Valentine.”
But before that, we took some time to properly warm up and stretch our bodies.
Then we officially began learning the dance. Both students who are fluent in Korean and those who are not participated actively, working up a sweat and enjoying the experience together.

안녕하세요! 오늘은 국악박물관에 다녀왔어요. 날씨가 맑고 좋아서 박물관으로 이동하는 시간부터 기분이 참 좋았어요.
박물관에 도착해서 다양한 전통 악기들을 직접 보았어요. 가야금, 해금, 장구 등 여러 전통 악기들이 전시되어 있었고, 전통 음악과 관련된 도구와 문헌도 함께 구경했어요. 설명을 읽어 보면서 한국 전통 음악이 어떻게 이어져 왔는지 자연스럽게 알아갈 수 있었어요.
또 미디어 가이드를 무료로 대여해서 편하고 자세하게 박물관을 관람했어요. 궁금한 부분은 자세히 듣고 조금 더 오래 살펴보면서 여유 있게 시간을 보냈어요.
특히 악기를 직접 체험할 수 있는 공간이 있어서 모두 즐거워했어요. 실제로 소리를 내 보면서 전통 악기의 특징을 느껴 볼 수 있었고, 짧은 시간이었지만 인상적인 경험이 되었어요.
좋은 날씨 속에서 국립국악박물관을 방문해 한국의 전통 음악에 대해 알아보는 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈어요. 배우는 즐거움과 함께 한국 문화를 가까이에서 느낄 수 있었던 소중한 하루였어요.
Hello! Today we visited the National Gugak Museum. The weather was clear and beautiful, so we felt great from the moment we headed to the museum.
When we arrived, we were able to see a variety of traditional Korean instruments in person. There were many instruments on display, such as the gayageum, haegeum, and janggu, as well as tools and historical documents related to traditional music. By reading the explanations, we were able to naturally learn how Korean traditional music has been passed down over time.
We also borrowed the media guide for free, which allowed us to explore the museum comfortably and in detail. We listened carefully to the parts we were curious about and took our time looking around at our own pace.
There was a space where we could try playing the instruments ourselves, and everyone really enjoyed that part. By actually making sounds on the instruments, we were able to feel the unique characteristics of traditional Korean music. Although it was a short experience, it was very memorable.
In the beautiful weather, visiting the National Gugak Museum was a meaningful opportunity to learn more about Korean traditional music. It was a valuable day in which we experienced both the joy of learning and Korean culture up close.

마지막에는 예쁜 자석도 선물로 받았어요!

The National Gugak Museum is the only museum in Korea dedicated exclusively to traditional Korean music. It is a place where you can learn about the history and culture of Korean traditional music.
At the museum, there are many traditional Korean musical instruments. You can play some of the instruments yourself and listen to their sounds!
There were many instruments we had never seen before, so it was fascinating and fun. It was also nice because we could listen to explanations through a media guide.
We learned about Korean old traditional music at the museum. The museum is really clean and nice, so you should definitely check it out sometime!
오늘 렉시스 코리아에서는 학생들과 함께 서예와 자개공예 수업을 진행했습니다. 교실에서 문법과 어휘를 배우는 것도 중요하지만, 한국 문화를 직접 경험해 보는 시간이 기억에 오래 남는다는 점에서 이런 체험 수업은 늘 반응이 좋습니다. 이번 수업도 시작 전부터 학생들이 무척 기대하는 분위기였습니다.
먼저 서예 수업이 진행되었습니다. 대부분 붓을 처음 잡아보는 학생들이라 자세 잡는 것부터 천천히 설명했습니다. 먹물을 담고, 붓에 먹을 묻혀 획을 그어보는 연습을 한 뒤 각자 좋아하는 단어를 한지에 써 보았습니다. ‘사랑’, ‘행복’, ‘여행’, ‘한국’처럼 의미를 알고 있는 단어를 쓰는 학생도 있었고, 자기 이름을 한글로 정성껏 써 보는 학생도 있었습니다. 처음에는 획이 떨리고 번지기도 했지만, 점점 집중하면서 한 글자씩 완성해 가는 모습이 인상적이었습니다. 완성된 작품을 서로 보여주며 사진을 찍고, 뜻을 물어보며 자연스럽게 대화하는 모습도 보기 좋았습니다.
이어서 자개공예 수업을 진행했습니다. 반짝이는 자개 조각을 보자마자 학생들이 큰 관심을 보였습니다. 원하는 모양을 고르고, 작은 조각들을 하나씩 붙여 나가며 자신만의 작품을 만들었습니다. 예상보다 시간이 오래 걸렸지만 모두 끝까지 집중해서 완성하려는 모습이 보기 좋았습니다. 완성된 작품은 전통적인 느낌과 각자의 개성이 잘 어우러져 판매를 해도 될 정도로 예뻤습니다. 학생들은 “한국 기념품 같다”, “집에 가져가서 꼭 보관하겠다”며 만족해했습니다.
수업이 끝난 뒤에는 서로의 작품을 감상하며 짧게 소감을 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다. 어렵지만 재미있었고, 한국 문화를 더 가까이 느낄 수 있었다는 이야기가 많았습니다.앞으로도 유학생들이 한국어뿐 아니라 한국 문화의 다양한 매력을 경험할 수 있도록 렉시스 코리아에서는 이런 다양하고 즐거운 체험 수업을 계속 진행할 예정입니다!
Today, Lexis Korea held a calligraphy and mother-of-pearl craftsmanship class with the students. While it is important to learn grammar and vocabulary in the classroom, these hands-on classes are always well received in that the time to experience Korean culture remains in the memory for a long time. Even before the start of this class, the students were looking forward to it very much.
First, the calligraphy class was conducted. Most of them are new to brush strokes, so they slowly explained their posture. After putting ink, putting ink on a brush, and practicing drawing strokes, they wrote down their favorite words on Korean paper. Some students wrote words that they knew the meaning of, such as “love,” “happiness,” “travel,” and “Korea,” while others carefully wrote their names in Korean. At first, the strokes shook and smeared, but it was impressive to see them gradually completing each letter as they focused. It was also good to see them showing each other the finished work, taking pictures, asking for meaning, and talking naturally.
We then proceeded with the mother-of-pearl craftsmanship class. As soon as they saw the shining mother-of-pearl, they showed great interest in it. They chose the shape they wanted and created their own works by attaching the small pieces one by one. It took longer than expected, but it was good to see them all concentrating to the end. The finished work was so pretty that it could be sold with a combination of traditional feeling and individuality. Students were satisfied, saying, “It looks like a Korean souvenir,” and “I will take it home and keep it.”
After the class, we had a brief time to appreciate each other’s works and share our feelings. There were many stories that it was difficult but fun, and that we could feel Korean culture closer together. In the future, Lexis Korea will continue to hold these various and enjoyable experience classes so that international students can experience various charms of Korean culture as well as Korean language!
주사위 역할을 하는 윷 4개를 던져 나오는 도, 개, 걸, 윷, 모 결과에 따라 말(pawn)을 움직여 서로 잡고 잡히고 먼저 모든 말을 다 내보내는 팀이 승리하는 게임이에요.
각 도 개 걸 윷 모를 의미하는 동물들이 있어요.
그 동물들은 각 순서대로 돼지, 개, 양, 소, 말입니다.
이렇게 윷을 던지는데, 여기서 주의할 점이 있어요. 윷이 멍석(놀이 판) 밖으로 나가면 무효처리가 되고 윷을 던질 때에도 그냥 굴리거나 던지는 것이 아닌 공중에서 한 바퀴를 돌 수 있게 던져야 합니다.
나오는 결과에 따라 윷 판에 말을 움직여 서로 상대 팀의 말을 잡고 먼저 모든 말들을 내보내기 위해 승부욕을 보이며 재미있는 윷놀이를 했습니다.
그리고 두 번째로 공기놀이를 해 보았어요. 5개의 돌처럼 생긴 공기를 각 단계별로 1개 씩, 2개 씩, 3개 씩, 4개 씩, 5개 잡아 점수를 올리는 게임이에요. 이 공기놀이를 가장 어려워 했다는 사실은 비밀 😉
공기 한 알을 던지고 각 단계별로 해당하는 공기를 같은 손으로 잡고 던졌던 공기를 또 같은 손으로 떨어지기 전에 잡아야 하니 순발력과 손가락의 유연성이 필요한 놀이예요. 눈을 어디에 두어야 할 지 모르겠다고 말하며 제일 단순해 보이는 놀이가 가장 어렵다고 말했답니다.
그럼 공기놀이 하는 모습을 잠시 보실까요?
마지막으로 구슬치기를 했어요. 어릴 때 친구들과 같이 하고 놀았다며 자신감을 보이는 모습들! 구슬을 쳐서 구슬이 멈춘 곳에 쓰여있는 점수를 더하여 승패를 가렸답니다.
이렇게 한국의 전통놀이를 하며 신이 나기도 하고 속상해 하기도 하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

Today, we tried some traditional Korean games: Yutnori, Gonggi, and Marble Shooting (Guseulchigi).
First, we played Yutnori, one of the most popular traditional games enjoyed by families during Seollal (Lunar New Year). In Yutnori, players throw four wooden sticks called yut, which work like dice. Depending on how they land—Do, Gae, Geol, Yut, or Mo—players move their pawns on the board. Teams try to capture the opponent’s pieces and be the first to move all of their pawns to the finish line to win.
Each result—Do, Gae, Geol, Yut, and Mo—symbolizes an animal. In order, they represent a pig, dog, sheep, cow, and horse. There are also a few important rules. If the yut sticks fall outside the mat (the game board), the throw does not count. Also, you should not simply roll the sticks on the ground; they must be thrown into the air so that they spin at least once before landing.
Next, we played Gonggi. This game uses five small stone-like pieces. Players pick up the pieces in stages—one at a time, then two, three, four, and finally all five—to score points. (It’s a secret that this was actually the most challenging game for many of us!) To play, you throw one piece into the air, quickly pick up the required number of pieces with the same hand, and then catch the falling piece before it hits the ground. It requires quick reflexes and flexible fingers. Some students said they didn’t know where to focus their eyes and commented that the simplest-looking game was actually the hardest!
Based on the results in Yutnori, teams moved their pieces around the board, capturing their opponents’ pieces while showing great competitive spirit and having lots of fun.
Then, we watched a short demonstration of Gonggi in action. Finally, we played Marble Shooting. Some students proudly shared that they used to play this game with friends when they were younger. In this game, you shoot your marble, and the score written where it stops determines your points. The total score decides the winner.
Through these traditional Korean games, we felt excitement, frustration, and most importantly, joy.

까마득한 고대와 중세를 거쳐 근대로 오면 우리의 삶과도 많은 접점이 있는 자료들을 엿볼 수 있습니다. 지금의 부산을 만든 굵직한 사건들이 대부분 이 시대에 걸쳐 있죠.
근현대관을 지나면 다시 1층으로 내려오는 길에 흑백으로 된 옛 사진들도 볼 수 있습니다.

On February 13, 2026, the Busan Campus of Lexis Korea conducted a visit to the Busan Metropolitan Museum.
The Busan Metropolitan Museum is an institution dedicated to presenting the history of the Busan region, encompassing an extensive historical continuum from the prehistoric era to the contemporary period.
At the entrance, visitors may obtain informational brochures provided in multiple languages. The museum offers materials in four languages: Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.
The permanent exhibition is organized into four sections: the Prehistoric Gallery, the Ancient and Medieval Gallery, the Early Modern Gallery, and the Modern and Contemporary Gallery.
Prehistoric Gallery: This section examines artifacts and aspects of daily life from the prehistoric period prior to the advent of recorded history. It covers the Paleolithic period, the Neolithic period, the Bronze Age, and culminates with the Samhan period.
Ancient and Medieval Gallery: This gallery presents approximately one thousand years of history, focusing on the five hundred years of the Three Kingdoms period and the subsequent five hundred years of the Goryeo dynasty.
Early Modern Gallery: This section encompasses the five hundred years of the Joseon dynasty, as well as the modern and contemporary history of the Korean Peninsula following the opening of ports.
Through a wide range of artifacts, visitors are able to gain insight into the lives of people from each respective era.
In one corner of the exhibition, there are poems written in Middle Korean. In Korea, works of this nature are sometimes studied at the high school level.
As the exhibition progresses from the distant ancient and medieval periods into the modern era, visitors encounter materials that bear numerous points of connection with contemporary life. Many of the pivotal events that shaped present-day Busan occurred during this period.
After passing through the Modern and Contemporary Gallery, visitors descending back to the first floor can view historical black-and-white photographs.
The Busan Metropolitan Museum is open to the public and offers free admission.

안녕하세요? 오늘은 한국에서 일을 하고 싶어하는 학생들을 위한 잡클럽(Job Club) 수업이 진행되었습니다. 잡클럽은 한국에서 취업하고자 하는 학생들에게 취업 과정에 필요한 여러 과업들을 한국어로 연습하고 준비해 볼 수 있도록 도와주는 수업이에요.
오늘은 일본에서 워킹홀리데이 비자로 한국에 온 학생 한 명이 참석했는데요, 한국어를 공부하면서 제주도에 있는 호텔이나 카페에 취업하고 싶다고 해요. 1교시에는 한국 취업 포탈 사이트인 잡코리아, 사람인, 알바몬 등에 직접 가입해보고 이력서 업로드 하는 방법을 배웠습니다. 또한 학생이 취업하고 싶어하는 제주도 지역의 외국인 채용 공고들을 직접 찾아보기도 했습니다.
2교시에는 한국어로 직접 이력서와 자기소개서를 써보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 자신의 강점과 약점, 과거의 경험과 경력을 어떻게 하면 간결하면서도 임팩트 있게 잘 쓸 수 있을지 같이 의논도 하고 면접 시 질문할 만한 예상 질문들에 대해 직접 대답해보는 연습도 해보았습니다. 한국어로 이력서와 자기소개서를 작정하고 면접 준비를 하는 것이 처음이어서 조금 어렵겠지만 잡클럽과 함께 차근차근 준비한다면 꼭 취업에 성공할 수 있을 거에요!

Job Club for Students Who Want to Work in Korea 🇰🇷
Hello! Today, we held a Job Club class for students who want to work in Korea. Job Club is a class where students hoping to work in Korea can practice and prepare the skills they need for the job-seeking process, all in Korean.
We had one student from Japan attend today. She is studying Korean and preparing to get a job at Hotels or Cafes in Jeju island.
During the first part, the students learned how to sign up for major Korean job portal sites like JobKorea, Saramin, and Albamon, and how to upload a resume. The students also explored various job postings in their desired field to see real opportunities available in the market.
In the second part, we focused on writing resumes and cover letters in Korean. Together, we discussed how to express strengths, weaknesses, and past experiences clearly and effectively. The students also practiced answering potential interview questions in Korean.
It may feel a bit challenging at first to prepare resumes, cover letters, and interviews in Korean—but with steady effort through the Job Club, success in getting a job in Korea will definitely come!
Our Job Club will continue next month, too.
We hope it keeps helping students take one step closer to their dreams of working in Korea!
렉시스 코리아에서 진행된 이번 문화체험수업은 케이팝 댄스 클래스였습니다. 수업에서는 올데이프로젝트(ALLDAY PROJECT)의 ‘Look At Me’ 안무를 배워 보았는데, 처음에는 다소 낯설어하던 학생들도 음악이 시작되자 금세 표정이 밝아지고 분위기가 한층 활기차졌습니다. 케이팝 특유의 리듬감과 포인트 동작을 하나씩 익히며 서로 웃고 응원하는 모습이 무척 인상적이었습니다.
특히 한국어로 구호를 외치고, 박자에 맞춰 함께 움직이며 자연스럽게 한국 문화를 몸으로 체험할 수 있었다는 점에서 학생들의 만족도가 매우 높았습니다. 수업이 끝난 뒤에는 “생각보다 어렵지만 정말 재미있었다”, “케이팝을 더 좋아하게 됐다”는 반응이 이어졌고, 몇몇 학생들은 자발적으로 영상을 찍으며 복습하는 열정도 보여 주었습니다.
이번 케이팝 댄스 수업은 단순한 춤을 넘어, 언어와 문화를 함께 즐기는 소중한 시간이었습니다. 앞으로도 다양한 문화체험을 통해 학생들이 한국을 더욱 가깝게 느낄 수 있기를 기대합니다~
This cultural experience class held in Lexis Korea was a K-pop dance class. In the class, we learned the choreography of “Look At Me” by ALLDAY PRODUCT, and even the students, who were somewhat unfamiliar at first, quickly brightened their faces and became more cheerful when the music began. It was very impressive to see them laugh and cheer for each other, learning the unique rhythm and point movements of K-pop. In particular, the satisfaction of the students was very high in that they could naturally experience Korean culture by shouting slogans in Korean and moving together with the beat.
After the class, reactions continued, “It’s harder than I thought, but it was really fun,” and “I like K-pop more,” and some students voluntarily showed passion to film and review videos.
This K-pop dance class was a precious time to enjoy language and culture together beyond just dancing. I hope that students will be able to feel closer to Korea through various cultural experiences in the future

On Friday, we learned a K-pop dance routine. The choreography we learned this time was “Love Me More” by Apink!
Before learning the routine, we warmed up and loosened our stiff bodies with some stretching. Now, shall we start learning the choreography?
We followed the dance instructor and learned the moves one by one.
First, we practiced the moves at a slow tempo, and then we tried them again at the original speed 🙂 Everyone stayed focused and followed the instructor closely.
It was a little difficult at first, but the more we practiced, the better we became.
We took a short break in the middle, but the students kept practicing. Their passion is truly amazing!
Lastly, everyone recorded a video on their phones. I think it will become a fun and happy memory!
After taking a group photo with the instructor, we wrapped up today’s class.
본격적으로 태권도를 배우기 전, 어깨-허리-다리까지 충분히 몸을 풀어줬어요. 열심히 다리를 뻗어 봤지만 결국 사범님의 도움을 받아 웃음을 자아냈답니다.
충분히 몸을 풀어준 다음, 기본 자세와 발차기를 배웠습니다. 처음에 큰 소리로 기합 넣는 것을 어색해 하는 것도 잠시 곧바로 몰입해서 힘차게 팔과 다리를 뻗는 학생들의 모습이 정말 멋있었답니다.
열심히 잘 따라와준 학생들에게 사범님께서 특별한 기회를 선물해 주셨는데요. 바로 태권도의 끝, ‘격파’입니다. 태권도 수업을 듣기 전에, 멋진 격파 영상들을 보고 온 학생들은 아주 기대했답니다.
멋지게 격파를 성공하고 오늘 태권도 수업을 마무리했습니다. 한국어 수업만큼 중요한 것이 바로 우리 문화를 직접 체험하며 이해하는 것이죠. 오늘 태권도 수업을 통해 학생들이 아주 즐거운 시간을 보냈길 바랍니다.
Hello, everyone! Today, we fully immersed ourselves in the beauty of Korea by learning the fundamental spirit and movements of Taekwondo.
Before diving into the actual training, we took plenty of time to warm up, stretching everything from our shoulders and waists to our legs. Some students tried their best to stretch their legs out wide, but ultimately needed a little “push” from the Master, which brought a lot of laughter to the room.
Once we were warmed up, we moved on to basic stances and kicks. At first, the students felt a bit shy about shouting out loud (Gihap), but that didn’t last long. They soon became fully engaged, looking incredibly sharp as they powerfully extended their arms and legs.
As a reward for their hard work, the Master gave the students a special opportunity: the highlight of Taekwondo, “Board Breaking” (Gyeokpa). Having watched impressive videos of board breaking before the class, the students were buzzing with excitement. After successfully snapping the boards with style, we wrapped up today’s session.
We believe that experiencing and understanding Korean culture firsthand is just as important as learning the language itself. We hope all the students had a fantastic and memorable time through today’s Taekwondo class!
