[Job Club] 잡클럽

안녕하세요? 오늘은 한국에서 일을 하고 싶어하는 학생들을 위한 잡클럽(Job Club) 수업이 진행되었습니다. 잡클럽은 한국에서 취업하고자 하는 학생들에게 취업 과정에 필요한 여러 과업들을 한국어로 연습하고 준비해 볼 수 있도록 도와주는 수업이에요.

오늘은 일본에서 워킹홀리데이 비자로 한국에 온 학생 한 명이 참석했는데요, 한국어를 공부하면서 제주도에 있는 호텔이나 카페에 취업하고 싶다고 해요.  1교시에는 한국 취업 포탈 사이트인 잡코리아, 사람인, 알바몬 등에 직접 가입해보고 이력서 업로드 하는 방법을 배웠습니다. 또한 학생이 취업하고 싶어하는 제주도 지역의 외국인 채용 공고들을 직접 찾아보기도 했습니다.

2교시에는 한국어로 직접 이력서와 자기소개서를 써보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 자신의 강점과 약점, 과거의 경험과 경력을 어떻게 하면 간결하면서도 임팩트 있게 잘 쓸 수 있을지 같이 의논도 하고 면접 시 질문할 만한 예상 질문들에 대해 직접 대답해보는 연습도 해보았습니다. 한국어로 이력서와 자기소개서를 작정하고 면접 준비를 하는 것이 처음이어서 조금 어렵겠지만 잡클럽과 함께 차근차근 준비한다면 꼭 취업에 성공할 수 있을 거에요!

한국에서 취업을 원하는 학생들에게 조금이라도 도움이 되길 바라면서 잡 클럽(Job Club)은 또 다음 달에도 기다리고 있겠습니다~!

Job Club for Students Who Want to Work in Korea 🇰🇷

Hello! Today, we held a Job Club class for students who want to work in Korea. Job Club is a class where students hoping to work in Korea can practice and prepare the skills they need for the job-seeking process, all in Korean.

We had one student from Japan attend today. She is studying Korean and preparing to get a job at Hotels or Cafes in Jeju island.

During the first part, the students learned how to sign up for major Korean job portal sites like JobKorea, Saramin, and Albamon, and how to upload a resume. The students also explored various job postings in their desired field to see real opportunities available in the market.

In the second part, we focused on writing resumes and cover letters in Korean. Together, we discussed how to express strengths, weaknesses, and past experiences clearly and effectively. The students also practiced answering potential interview questions in Korean.

It may feel a bit challenging at first to prepare resumes, cover letters, and interviews in Korean—but with steady effort through the Job Club, success in getting a job in Korea will definitely come!

Our Job Club will continue next month, too.

We hope it keeps helping students take one step closer to their dreams of working in Korea!

KPOP DANCE – ALLDAY PROJECT – Look at me

렉시스 코리아에서 진행된 이번 문화체험수업은 케이팝 댄스 클래스였습니다. 수업에서는 올데이프로젝트(ALLDAY PROJECT)의 ‘Look At Me’ 안무를 배워 보았는데, 처음에는 다소 낯설어하던 학생들도 음악이 시작되자 금세 표정이 밝아지고 분위기가 한층 활기차졌습니다. 케이팝 특유의 리듬감과 포인트 동작을 하나씩 익히며 서로 웃고 응원하는 모습이 무척 인상적이었습니다.

특히 한국어로 구호를 외치고, 박자에 맞춰 함께 움직이며 자연스럽게 한국 문화를 몸으로 체험할 수 있었다는 점에서 학생들의 만족도가 매우 높았습니다. 수업이 끝난 뒤에는 “생각보다 어렵지만 정말 재미있었다”, “케이팝을 더 좋아하게 됐다”는 반응이 이어졌고, 몇몇 학생들은 자발적으로 영상을 찍으며 복습하는 열정도 보여 주었습니다.

이번 케이팝 댄스 수업은 단순한 춤을 넘어, 언어와 문화를 함께 즐기는 소중한 시간이었습니다. 앞으로도 다양한 문화체험을 통해 학생들이 한국을 더욱 가깝게 느낄 수 있기를 기대합니다~

This cultural experience class held in Lexis Korea was a K-pop dance class. In the class, we learned the choreography of “Look At Me” by ALLDAY PRODUCT, and even the students, who were somewhat unfamiliar at first, quickly brightened their faces and became more cheerful when the music began. It was very impressive to see them laugh and cheer for each other, learning the unique rhythm and point movements of K-pop.
In particular, the satisfaction of the students was very high in that they could naturally experience Korean culture by shouting slogans in Korean and moving together with the beat.

After the class, reactions continued, “It’s harder than I thought, but it was really fun,” and “I like K-pop more,” and some students voluntarily showed passion to film and review videos.

This K-pop dance class was a precious time to enjoy language and culture together beyond just dancing. I hope that students will be able to feel closer to Korea through various cultural experiences in the future

K-POP DANCE – Apink – Love Me More

안녕하세요! 금요일에 우리는 K-POP 안무를 배웠어요.

이번 시간에 배운 안무는 ‘Apink’의 ‘Love Me More’이에요 🙂

안무를 배우기 전에 스트레칭으로 굳은 몸을 풀었어요.

이제 본격적으로 안무를 배워 볼까요?

안무 선생님을 따라 한 동작씩 익혀 갔어요.

먼저 느린 음악 속도에 맞춰 동작을 연습하고, 그다음 원래 속도에 맞춰서도 해 보았어요 🙂

모두 집중해서 선생님을 따라 했어요.

처음에는 조금 어려웠지만, 연습할수록 점점 더 잘하게 되었어요.

중간에 잠시 쉬는 시간도 가졌지만, 학생들은 계속 연습했어요.

열정이 정말 대단해요!

마지막으로 각자 휴대폰으로 동영상을 촬영했어요.

나중에 즐거운 추억으로 남을 것 같아요!

On Friday, we learned a K-pop dance routine.
The choreography we learned this time was “Love Me More” by Apink!

Before learning the routine, we warmed up and loosened our stiff bodies with some stretching.
Now, shall we start learning the choreography?

We followed the dance instructor and learned the moves one by one.

First, we practiced the moves at a slow tempo,
and then we tried them again at the original speed 🙂
Everyone stayed focused and followed the instructor closely.

It was a little difficult at first,
but the more we practiced, the better we became.

We took a short break in the middle,
but the students kept practicing.
Their passion is truly amazing!

Lastly, everyone recorded a video on their phones.
I think it will become a fun and happy memory!

we wrapped up today’s class.

It was such a fun time!

TAEKWONDO – 태권도

안녕하세요.오늘은 태권도의 기본 정신과 동작을 익히며 한국의 멋에 듬뿍 빠져보았습니다.

본격적으로 태권도를 배우기 전, 어깨-허리-다리까지 충분히 몸을 풀어줬어요. 열심히 다리를 뻗어 봤지만 결국 사범님의 도움을 받아 웃음을 자아냈답니다.

충분히 몸을 풀어준 다음, 기본 자세와 발차기를 배웠습니다. 처음에 큰 소리로 기합 넣는 것을 어색해 하는 것도 잠시 곧바로 몰입해서 힘차게 팔과 다리를 뻗는 학생들의 모습이 정말 멋있었답니다.

열심히 잘 따라와준 학생들에게 사범님께서 특별한 기회를 선물해 주셨는데요. 바로 태권도의 끝, ‘격파’입니다.
태권도 수업을 듣기 전에, 멋진 격파 영상들을 보고 온 학생들은 아주 기대했답니다.

멋지게 격파를 성공하고 오늘 태권도 수업을 마무리했습니다.
한국어 수업만큼 중요한 것이 바로 우리 문화를 직접 체험하며 이해하는 것이죠.
오늘 태권도 수업을 통해 학생들이 아주 즐거운 시간을 보냈길 바랍니다.

Hello, everyone! Today, we fully immersed ourselves in the beauty of Korea by learning the fundamental spirit and movements of Taekwondo.

Before diving into the actual training, we took plenty of time to warm up, stretching everything from our shoulders and waists to our legs. Some students tried their best to stretch their legs out wide, but ultimately needed a little “push” from the Master, which brought a lot of laughter to the room.

Once we were warmed up, we moved on to basic stances and kicks. At first, the students felt a bit shy about shouting out loud (Gihap), but that didn’t last long. They soon became fully engaged, looking incredibly sharp as they powerfully extended their arms and legs.

As a reward for their hard work, the Master gave the students a special opportunity: the highlight of Taekwondo, “Board Breaking” (Gyeokpa). Having watched impressive videos of board breaking before the class, the students were buzzing with excitement. After successfully snapping the boards with style, we wrapped up today’s session.

We believe that experiencing and understanding Korean culture firsthand is just as important as learning the language itself. We hope all the students had a fantastic and memorable time through today’s Taekwondo class!

TAEKWONDO – 태권도

안녕하세요! 지난 금요일에 태권도 문화체험을 다녀왔어요.

태권도장에 가서 직접 태권도 도복을 입고, 다양한 태권도 동작을 배워봤습니다. 도복을 입으니 진짜 태권도 선수가 된 기분이었어요!

주먹 지르기와 여러 가지 발차기 동작도 연습해봤는데요, 준비 자세부터 정말 멋있지 않나요?

관장님의 구호에 맞춰 기합을 외치며 힘차게 발차기도 해봤습니다.

학생들은 관장님의 설명을 들으며 발차기를 열심히 배우는 모습이었어요.

발차기는 각도에 따라 종류가 다르다는 것도 새롭게 알게 되었답니다.

도복을 입고 연습해서인지 더 집중해서 참여할 수 있었던 시간이었어요.

연습이 끝난 후에는 허리를 숙여 인사하고 마무리했습니다.
조금 힘들었지만, 웃음이 끊이지 않는 정말 즐거운 시간이었어요.

Hello! Last Friday, we joined a Taekwondo cultural experience.

We went to a Taekwondo gym and wore a Taekwondo uniform.
It felt like we became real Taekwondo players!

We practiced punches and different kinds of kicks.
The ready position looked really cool.

We followed the master’s instructions and shouted loudly while kicking.
The students learned the kicks very carefully and practiced hard.

We learned that there are many kinds of kicks, depending on the angle.
Wearing the uniform helped us focus more on the practice.

After practice, we bowed to say thank you.
It was a little tiring, but it was very fun and exciting.

At the end, we took a group photo with the master.

MAKING A NEW YEAR CARD – 연하장 만들기

안녕하세요!

오늘은 렉시스에서 연하장을 만들었어요.

연하장은 새해를 맞이하여 덕담을 쓴 감사 카드를 말해요.

학생들이 모여 앉아 나만의 연하장을 만들고 있어요.

나만의 연하장을 알록달록 색칠하며 완성해 나갔어요.

또, 새해 덕담에 대해 알아 보고 카드에 메시지도 남겼어요.

여러분들도 새해복 많이 받으세요!

Today at Lexis, we made New Year’s cards. A New Year’s card is a thank-you card with well-wishing messages to celebrate the New Year. The students sat together and created their own cards, coloring them in bright, colorful ways as they completed them. We also learned about New Year’s greetings and wrote messages on the cards. Wishing everyone a happy New Year!

Korean traditional games-한국 전통 놀이

안녕하세요! 새해를 맞이해서 학생들과 함께 한국 전통 놀이를 해보았습니다.

먼저 윷놀이에 대한 이야기를 나누었습니다. 도, 개, 걸, 윷, 모 가 나타내는 동물들을 알아보았습니다. 그리고 윷놀이 명칭들을 함께 살펴보았습니다. 그런 후에 윷놀이 놀이 방법을 알아보고 두 팀으로 나누어서 윷놀이를 했습니다. 처음에는 놀이 규칙이 헷갈리기도 했지만 엎치락뒤치락 하며 규칙에 익숙해진 학생들이 더욱 재미있게 놀이를 했습니다.

다음으로 공기 놀이를 했습니다. 영화 ‘오징어 게임’ 에서 봐서 알고 있다는 학생들은 많았지만 막상 해보니 보기보다 쉽지 않다고 했습니다. 책상 위에 있는 공기들을 하나씩 던졌다가 받는 것도 힘들었지만 손등 위에 공기들을 받았다가 다시 허공에서 받는 것은 더 어려워했습니다. 하지만 시간이 갈수록 공기놀이 4단계도 해내고 손등 위에서 받기도 성공하는 학생들이 몇 명 생겼습니다. 모두 아이로 돌아간 듯 즐거워하면서 열심히 연습했습니다. 마지막에 소감을 나눌 때 공기 놀이를 사서 집에서 연습해보겠다는 학생도 있었습니다.

마지막으로 제기 차기를 했습니다. 계속 앉아서 하다가 일어나서 하니 더욱 재미있었습니다. 두 팀으로 나눠서 서로 연습하다가 일대일로 경기를 했습니다. 승패와 상관없이 팀을 응원하면서 즐거운 시간을 가졌습니다.

To welcome the New Year, we spent a fun and meaningful time enjoying traditional Korean games together with our students.

We started by talking about Yutnori. The students learned about the animals represented by Do, Gae, Geol, Yut, and Mo, and we looked over the names and meanings used in the game. After learning the rules, we divided into two teams and played Yutnori together. At first, the rules felt a bit confusing, but as the game went back and forth, the students quickly became more familiar with them and began to enjoy the game even more.

Next, we played Gonggi. Many students recognized the game from the movie Squid Game, but once they tried it themselves, they realized it was not as easy as it looked. Tossing and catching the stones one by one on the desk was already challenging, and catching them on the back of the hand and then again in the air was even harder. However, as time went on, a few students successfully completed level four and managed to catch the stones on the back of their hands. Everyone practiced enthusiastically, laughing and enjoying the game as if they had become children again. During the reflection time, one student even said they wanted to buy a Gonggi set and practice at home.

Lastly, we played Jegichagi. After spending most of the time sitting down, standing up to play made it even more exciting. We divided into two teams to practice and then played one-on-one matches. Regardless of winning or losing, everyone cheered for their teammates and shared a joyful and energetic time together.

It was a wonderful way to welcome the New Year, filled with laughter, movement, and the joy of experiencing Korean traditional culture together.

Making a New Year calendar-새해 달력 만들기

안녕하세요? 2026년을 앞두고 학생들과 함께 새해 달력 만들기를 했습니다.

먼저 한국 전통 문화인 십이간지에 대해서 알아봤습니다. 간단한 그림책으로 십이간지 이야기를 나누고 각자의 띠를 알아보았습니다. 그리고 십이간지 컬러링 종이에서 각자의 띠를 찾아서 색칠해보는 시간도 가졌습니다.

2026년은 병오년, ‘말의 해’ 라는 이야기를 나누고 본격적으로 달력 만들기를 시작했습니다.

각자의 개성에 따라서 스티커 붙이기, 그림 그리기, 글자 쓰기 등 다양하게 달력을 꾸며보았습니다. 자신의 띠를 그려서 만들어보기도 하고 말의 해인 만큼 말 모양 스티커를 만들어서 붙이기도 했습니다. 그리고 ‘새해 복 많이 받으세요’라는 새해 인사도 배워보고 그 글자도 직접 달력에 써 보았습니다. 뿐만 아니라 각자가 쓰고 싶은 문구들도 다양하게 넣어보았습니다.

모두 집중해서 각자의 달력을 정성스럽게 완성했습니다. 정말 각자의 개성이 돋보이는 달력들이었습니다. 만드는 과정이 즐거웠던 것처럼 2026년도 즐거운 시간이 많기를 바랍니다!

As we prepare to welcome 2026, we spent a meaningful time making New Year calendars together with our students.

We began by learning about the Korean traditional culture of the Twelve Zodiac Animals. Through a simple picture book, we shared the story of the zodiac and discovered each student’s zodiac sign. The students also enjoyed finding their own zodiac animal on coloring sheets and bringing them to life with colors.

Since 2026 is the Year of the Horse (Byeong-o year), we talked about what that means and then moved on to creating the calendars. Everyone stayed focused and carefully worked on their own calendars, completing them with great care. Each calendar reflected the student’s unique personality and creativity, making them all truly special.

Just as the process of making the calendars was full of joy, we hope that 2026 will be filled with many happy and wonderful moments for everyone.

Making New Year’s Cards – 연하장 만들기

안녕하세요! 오늘은 학생들과 함께 새해를 맞아 연하장을 직접 만들어 보았어요.

연하장은 새해 인사 카드예요. 한국에서는 새해가 되면 가족, 친구, 선생님, 직장 동료에게 “새해 복 많이 받으세요”라는 말을 전하는데요, 이때 연하장을 보내면 더 따뜻한 마음을 나눌 수 있어요.

한국에서 연하장이 어떤 의미를 갖는지 설명해 주었더니, 학생들은 곧 누구에게 쓸지 즐겁게 고민하기 시작했어요.

준비된 재료로 연하장을 만들기 시작했어요. 모양은 한국의 전통 복주머니를 닮아 정말 귀여웠답니다. 학생들은 하나하나 정성을 담아 열심히 연하장을 꾸몄어요.

연하장을 다 만든 후, 학생들은 편지를 바로 쓰지 않고 종이에 미리 연습한 뒤 차근차근 연하장에 편지를 써 내려갔습니다.

여태까지 배운 한국어를 열심히 사용해 편지를 쓰기 시작했어요.
배운 한국어로 편지를 쓰니 학생들 스스로 뿌듯함을 느끼기도 하고, 선생님도 학생들이 한국어를 열심히 사용하는 모습을 보며 정말 기뻤답니다.

Making New Year’s Cards

Hello! 🎉
Today, we welcomed the New Year by making New Year’s greeting cards together with the students.
In Korea, it’s common to say “Saehae bok mani badeuseyo” (“Happy New Year, wishing you lots of blessings”) to family, friends, teachers, and colleagues. Sending a greeting card makes that message feel even warmer.
We started crafting with the prepared materials, and the design looked just like a traditional Korean lucky pouch (bokjumeoni)—so cute! Each student decorated their card with care and creativity.
Before writing directly on the card, they practiced their messages on paper first, then carefully wrote them inside the greeting card. Using the Korean they’ve learned so far, they poured their effort into writing heartfelt letters. The students felt proud of themselves, and as a teacher, I was truly happy to see them using Korean so diligently.
And of course—click! We took a photo to capture the moment.
The finished cards turned out beautifully, don’t you think?
Afterward, we talked about whether similar greeting cards exist in each of their countries and who they would send theirs to.
We wrapped up the activity with big smiles, and I can’t wait to meet again with another fun program next time!

MAKING A NEW YEAR CARD – 연하장 만들기

안녕하세요! 새해를 맞이하여 가족, 친구, 지인에게 새해 인사를 전하는 새해 카드, 연하장 만들기 활동을 진행했습니다. 활동을 시작하기에 앞서, 한국식 새해 인사와 연하장 문화에 대해 간단히 소개하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

먼저 한국 새해 인사면서 연하장 앞면을 꾸밀 ‘새해 복 많이 받으세요.’멘트를 배워보았습니다. 또 설날과 행운을 상징하는 새인 까치와, 새해에 복을 기원하는 그림인 세화에 대해서도 함께 알아보았습니다. 이후 본격적으로 연하장 만들기 활동을 시작하였습니다!

펠트지를 활용해 한복을 입은 사람 모양 장식을 연하장 앞면에 붙이며, 한국의 전통 의상을 자연스럽게 접해볼 수 있었답니다.

연하장 뒷면에는 가족이나 친구를 떠올리며 새해 인사를 담은 편지를 직접 작성해 보았습니다.
짧은 문장이었지만, 진심을 담아 글을 쓰는 시간이라 더욱 의미 있게 느껴졌습니다:)

이번 연하장 만들기 활동을 통해 학생들이 한국의 새해 문화와 인사를 이해하고, 따뜻한 마음을 전하는 방법을 배울 수 있는 시간이 되었기를 바랍니다.

Hello! To celebrate the New Year, we held a New Year card-making activity where students created greeting cards to share New Year wishes with their family, friends, and loved ones. Before starting the activity, we took some time to introduce Korean New Year greetings and the culture of New Year cards.

First, we learned the Korean New Year greeting “Saehae bok mani badeuseyo,” which is commonly written on the front of New Year cards. We also talked about magpies, birds that symbolize Seollal and good luck, as well as Sehwa, traditional pictures that express wishes for good fortune in the New Year. After that, we began the card-making activity.

Using felt paper, students decorated the front of their cards with figures wearing hanbok, allowing them to naturally experience traditional Korean clothing.

On the back of the card, students wrote a New Year message while thinking of their family or friends.
Although the messages were short, it was a meaningful time for students to write with sincerity 🙂

Through this New Year card-making activity, we hope students were able to better understand Korean New Year culture and greetings, and learn how to share warm feelings with others.
