Please note that whilst Lexis Korea is operating as per usual, and will continue to welcome students to join our on-campus classes, there are however some requirements in which the South Korean government has imposed as a measure to curb imported COVID-19 cases.

Kindly be advised that the new measures have been put into force and now apply to all inbound passengers regardless of nationality:

TRAVELLING TO SOUTH KOREA

Students who are planning to travel to South Korea will now have to apply for one of below visa categories, as the South Korean government has temporarily stopped visa free entry for some nationalities:

    • C-3 : Short-term stay up to 90 days
    • H-1 (Working Holiday) : Long-term stay up to 1 year

Please note that the visa application requirements would vary for each country. You may apply for either of the visa at the South Korean embassy in your home country.

2-WEEK MANDATORY QUARANTINE

All overseas travelers entering South Korea are now required to undergo a mandatory quarantine for 14 days, i.e. the incubation period of the virus:

    • Long-term visa travelers (e.g. Working Holiday Visa): Travelers without local address will be required to complete the 14 days quarantine at government designated isolation facilities.
    • Short-term Travelers arriving with a short-term visa (less than 90 days): Travelers will have to stay at government-designated isolation facility at their own expense, which would cost KRW100,000 per night including meals (KRW1,400,000 in total for 14 days). During this quarantine period, they are prohibited to go out, buy food or have home delivery.

All travelers arriving from U.S. or European countries are also required to take the COVID-19 test upon arrival, regardless of symptoms. If tested positive for the virus, he/she will be hospitalized at a designated medical facility.

During this 14-day quarantine, students will have free wifi, therefore will be accessible to join our Untact Live Korean online course. Upon completing the two weeks isolation, students will be able to start their on-campus courses either at our Seoul or Busan campus.
